My husband and I had our Valentine dinner date a few days early and I ordered three cocktail/party dresses to try on a whim as we were going to a fancy restaurant. I was not expecting this plus size bodycon dress to be the winner, but it was. I am 5’7” and weigh 250 lbs. I generally wear a 20 or 22 and a 2X or 3X depending on various factors. I got a 4X in this dress hoping it would skim over my body and not squeeze it anywhere. With some good shapewear underneath, I felt tucked in, smooth, and confident. Lengthwise, it hit just below my knee. The material was thin to average weight. (While long sleeve, it could not be considered a winter weight fabric.) There was no glitter shedding whatsoever either. I even washed AND DRIED it on my dryer’s extra low setting and that removed the slight packing wrinkles. The glitter didn’t feel unusually rough either. It was very fine in texture. (I remember a glittery prom dress from high school that rubbed my underarms raw because the glitter was so rough. This was nothing like that.) All in all, this dress is a winner across the board and I will certainly be on the lookout for more cool weather special occasions where I can wear it again. I was very excited to use this dress because I loved how it fitted the model. The only issue I had was that I ordered it slightly too big so I had to make my seamstress close in on my waist area just a bit (I could have ordered a 2XL). But other than that, I was very comfortable at my staff's cocktail wearing this dress. I received a lot of compliments. It is a lot more gold than I expected (as you can see in my photos, I took out pics in bright light and in dark areas to see the difference). I ended up returning this. It would need some SERIOUS spanx or something to make it wearable. It showed every. single. curve. And not in a good way. It was also itchy and an interesting color. It was gold when looking directly at it, but at any other angle it appeared black.

Pros: Glitter is pretty. Size is alil accurate. I love the length of the dress, right above my knees. Material also feel really good. The glitter stay on the dress and doesn't shred like other clothing does. Cons: The color doesn't really look like how the picture look. It's more blackish gold then fully gold. If you have big breast like me the design on the side was right underneath them so you couldn't really see it. Also if you have a pouch like me you will see the curves because this dress is snug on your body. So I would wear some type of girdle... Overall I might be returning it. ... show more

This is a beautiful dress. I ordered 2 sizes up, but you only need to order 1 size up. I have enough hips so I can still pull off the larger size. It's a beautiful color. The material is light and I wore it to a Christmas party and received several compliments.

This dress was just as expected. I would give it 4.5 stars. I know it was my fault but for using a purse with a course glitter surface but the dress did fray a bit where the purse touched it. Also this dress clings to ALL your curves. I wore shapewear to help with that. I am 5' 2 and 255. I ordered a 2x. I got a lot of compliments on the color and the dress. It served the purpose I needed it for. I am happy with the purchase🙂 ... show more
