  • Super Great!
Color: Canyon Red
Ok I have had these for a couple years now and want to share my experience. I got these because I hate not being able to hear when I have headphones on. I bought these because my daughter bought some. She gets extremely car sick so these make her nauseas. I ended up getting migraines for over a year and had a hard time wearing these because they caused nausea. I adjusted the bass and it helped a lot. I do have glasses and hearing impairment and since I've gotten my migraines under control I'm able to wear them again. They're great for walks, dental procedures, and using them in the car. They're great for talking on the phone too. I have had no problems with them whatsoever. In the beginning they did feel a little big and it irritated me but the feeling did go away with use. I do recommend adjusting your equalizer on your phone for the best sound quality for you. ... show more

  • One size fits all. Works as intended. But, not for those with glasses.
Color: Canyon Red
I got these headphones for work. I work in a quiet room with up to four other people. Blasting my music is not an option. My co-workers occasionally talk to me, and my work environment has other sounds that I need to respond to. So noise blocking headphones is not an option either. These AfterShokz seemed like a perfect solution. So, I bought them. On unboxing, I found they have no adjustable parts. It's one size fits all. At first, they did not seem to fit. This was because of my glasses (I'll elaborate below.) However, even with the bad fit, they work as intended, and I still use them at work. I can hear my environment perfectly with them on. I can hear my co-workers loud and clear. I can also hear my music. And, the AfterShokz have a battery life that lasts all day. This is exactly what I wanted from this product. But, as mentioned earlier, these headphones do not fit because of my glasses. This is because the AfterShokz do NOT sit on your head like normal headphones. These headphones are designed to "wrap around" the back of your head horizontally, sit on top of your ears, and use your ears to "hook" into place. So they fit your head in the same way glasses fit around your head, only backwards. But, thanks to my glasses, Either the AfterShokz sit on top of my glasses and don't fit properly, or my glasses sit on top of the AfterShokz and slip off my head. This causes discomfort. It also results in inconsistent volume levels. Every time the AfterShokz slip, the volume level goes up or down, and I have to adjust accordingly. For the purposes of this review, I tried these headphones without my glasses on. And, without glasses, I find the AfterShokz comfortable to wear. Next, I checked the volume without my glasses. I first used the AfterShokz in a quiet room. I'm not an audiophile, but even at low volume levels, I could hear the music loud and clear. The sound seemed as good as if I was using normal headphones. I then tested the AfterShokz in a marketplace. I could hear the music ok while shopping. I then went to a crowded food court. When I turned the volume up as loud as I could stand (about half way to max on my phone,) I could just barely hear the music over the crowd. I could have turned the volume louder, but I didn't want to damage my hearing. Finally, I tried to listen to these AfterShokz while riding in a car going 55 miles per hour. I left the windows down. As expected, the wind from the windows completely drowned out the music. Again I could have upped the volume, but I'm not going to risk my hearing to make them work in that situation. As others have pointed out I can feel the AfterShokz vibrate my head at medium to high volume. However, this is a tolerable feeling. The volume hurt my ears long before the vibrations hurt my head. That said, I'm not a doctor and have done no experiments, so I don't know if prolonged use of AfterShokz causes hearing loss. You'll have to take a chance on that one. A word of caution: If you get these AfterShokz for work, then music can be distracting even at low volume levels. In addition, The AfterShokz won't stop the temptation to sing and dance along with the music. Fortunately, there's a big, easy to press, triangle button on the left earbud that will stop music playback. There are volume controls on the shaft of the right earpiece, however those controls are very small and hard to use. I found it easier to use the volume controls on my phone instead. Overall, I'd say they work great. They do what I want and their battery life is good. I just wish they fit better. Those with glasses might want to avoid them. But, otherwise, they are amazing. So, 4 stars from me. ... show more

  • These are great for me
Color: Canyon Red
I have a mostly deaf ear from a childhood injury which messed up the middle ear bones. With this device I can hear midrange sounds on that side that I haven't heard for 50 years. Is the quality great- no, but it's pretty good. And I can hear on my right side again. Noise cancelling- none. Volume control- meh, it's ok. The value for me is they are affordable, and I can hear music on my right side for the 1st time in a long time. ... show more

  • Not as nice as the Air model.
Color: Canyon Red
Ordered these as a replacement for my Aftershokz Air, definitely a cheaper option. Feels lighter, but also much more cheaply made. These do not fit as well as the Airs did and they are not as comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
