  • Easy to use
Size: 21 inch
Great set of starter shoe shoes. Easy to use, light weight, and most of all fun. They came with all the accessories needed to get started, minus the boots. I just wear my muk boots with them and it worked okay. Love the color. The bindings and connections were of great quality. I can see these lasting a long time. I also love that they came with a bag so when I am done, I just pack it up and put it away till next snowstorm. ... show more

  • Looks pretty good!
Size: 21 inch
They are very nice, great work! I've only used it once and it was a great experience. They're easy to put on and they stay on. All in all, a good deal for a newbie.

  • Very good value for money
Size: 21 inch
I bought children's snowshoes based on recommendations and reviews. I think it's a sturdy pair of snowshoes that my son has only used once so far. I am satisfied with this purchase.

  • Works well and comfortable.
Size: 25 inch
These are good value snowshoes. I used these this past weekend to tromp through about 8 inches of fresh snow. They are well constructed and feel sturdy. My only complaint is that the toe straps are a little long. Your feet/boots would have to be absolutely massive for these straps to not be too long. The carrying bag is really nice with a handle, shoulder strap, or backpack straps. I really like the wire bracket at the heel for walking up inclines as well. The color of the product photos is true to the actual product. It's possible that the decking plastic will get very brittle with age or extreme cold but for normal use, these are great and I expect to get a lot of use out of them. ... show more

  • It's snow fun!
Size: 25 inch
The media could not be loaded. My son tried these out today after we got dumped on by a lot of snow. He had fun tramping about the yard on top of a couple feet of snow. He didn't appreciate that they were pink but he liked a few features about them. He felt like they were flexible so he could walk fairly normal. The back of your foot is not strapped down in these, just the front so you don't have to lift up the snow shoe very far to move forward. They have a rubberized track type of attachment that goes over the boots (X 2) to hold them on. He liked the way there is a back piece that you can lift up for when you are climbing a hill. (See the close up picture) It puts your foot in a better and more comfortable position for hills. Then you can snap that back down when the land flattens out. The trekker poles adjusted all the way up to his height so all sizes could use them and he remarked on the different tip options for the poles that make them good for multiple uses. If you really had to use it that way you can take the tip covers off and the end is pointy, which makes a good pole for poking down in the snow to look for people who might be trapped. He felt like it kept him up on top of the snow with just a little bit of sinking in the top powder. He weighs just about 190 pounds so he's close to the top end of the weight suggestion and he felt like they supported him well. It's got a nice case for them to store it. You would definitely see this bag if you were out in the snow since the bag is bright pink as are the snow shoes. The straps kind of hang out the side a big when these are pulled tightly. They remind me of flipper attachments a little bit. I guess the rubber is good in a wet environment. Fun item. It will be nice to get my kids outside and off their devices for a little while. ... show more

  • Easy to find in the snow
Size: 21 inch
Well made. Glad that they included the poles. And especially glad as well as the carrying case. How else would you store and transport these. Love the pink color. It will make it easier to find her in the snow :-) Update: the straps on the poles are too short and as such, when wearing gloves, mittens, etc you cannot make them large enough. This may be related to how we use them. As we were taught for skiing, we always hold them such that the strap goes through the palm of the hand (not over the top of your hand). That way, if/when you fall you hand comes out without trapping and jamming or injuring your thumb/wrist/etc. ... show more

  • Very high quality, especially for the price
Size: 21 inch
The media could not be loaded. BACKGROUND: I have been snowshoeing for 25+ years. I've summited high peaks in Vermont, Colorado, and South America with my "classic" Tubbs snowshoes. I'm now introducing my daughters to the sport. I ordered this pair of snowshoes from Affordura for my 11-year-old. This pair of snowshoes compares extremely favorably to my Tubbs as well as other name-brand shoes. Here's what I like about them: - The binding system is easy to use and keeps the shoe snug on the boot. Once they're ratcheted down, these shoes are *not* going anywhere. The quick-release system makes it easy to take them off. - The riveted webbing design is comparable in materials and workmanship to much more expensive snowshoes. - The shoes have a system for elevating the heel when you're going uphill to keep your foot more parallel to the horizon. I like the concept and am eager to see how well this works out on the trails. - The telescoping trekking poles are very well made. - The carrying case is a nice touch. As we say in our house, "skiers carry their own skis". This case makes it easy. There's no snow on the ground here yet where we live, so I'll post an update once these shoes have actually been put to the paces outside. But my initial testing of the binding system and inspection of the built quality have me bullish on these shoes. I will add that I have a different pair of snowshoes from Affordura where the binding system isn't nearly as good and where some of the rivets do not look like they'll hold up. I would recommend the style of binding with *these* shoes (this review/product) over some of the others from Affordura. And I would inspect your rivets and webbing for any issues as soon as you receive your snowshoes - do a return or a replacement ASAP if any of the rivets are off-center or if the webbing looks like it could pull through anywhere. I suspect that the manufacturing quality is less consistent with Affordura than with other well-established snowshoe brands. *** 1/7/23 UPDATE *** We've now gotten out on the trails with these snowshoes and my daughter *loves* them. We did a couple miles together this week. She's excited to go again! The bindings on these snowshoes worked *better* than the bindings on a much more expensive pair from L.L. Bean that I borrowed from my sister-in-law. ... show more
