  • Does the job and definitely worth the price
Color: Dark Size: 14' x 10'
Very good quality materials. Fast delivery. It was time consuming to put together, but the directions were easy to follow. It took about 4 hours to complete with myself and 2 easily distracted teenagers. We had 30 mph winds the day after we put ours up and it held up well, but I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend having this set up without it being anchored in someway as it swayed with the lightest breeze. The base of all five post have four holes that you can attach screws and anchor to your deck. There are also three options on the tall side where you can anchor it to a structure easily. Due to the placement of the back door and windows on our back deck, we needed a little more height so we had a 4x6 post cut at Home Depot to 6 1/2 inches long, spray painted them the same color as the frame, and anchored them to the deck, and the screwed the base of the poles to the blocks. It is extremely sturdy. The taller side against the house only had two poles versus the three poles on the shorter side which did cause a very little bit of sagging in the middle of the tall side for the 10x14 we purchased. However, this was easily corrected Once we use the included anchor and attached it above our windows. I have had rain since we put it up and it has been completely waterproof. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase, and think the price point is perfect. ... show more

  • Its a cheap solution to a Awning
Color: Dark Size: 14' x 10'
Pros: Looks nice. Cheap. Fairly Sturdy. Cons: Takes a long time to assemble and assembly is very exact. be careful. Leaks. Short. Wall brackets are mid. I got this and it was delivered. Assembly Instructions are not explicit in many cases and you have to be super careful reading them. Make sure to put the waterproof washers in. Even still, it leaks when it rains on the roof support beams. If you wanna fix this you might need some caulk or there might need to be a more complex solution. Not sure. Its also very short. It has about 6' of clearance on the low side so if you're taller than that you'll need to raise it up with something under the support legs. Also assembling it was very tricky and you really need at least 2 people to help hold it in place to get it upright. Also, be careful with the hardware as there are very few spares (sometimes none) if you strip a bolt or overtighten your waterproof washer, you might not have enough to finish construction. That being said, it looks nice, the price was right, and once its together and attached to a wall feels quite sturdy. (the key is making sure its attached to the wall well. ... show more

  • The ikea style instruction sheet is a little confusing
Color: Dark Size: 12' x 12'
First off I’d like to say once completed this awning is amazing. It feels very sturdy and being in Las Vegas we get pretty high winds, so I wanted to make sure I got something that was rated for that and this is rated for gusts up to 70 mph. It looks amazing now that it’s put together but getting it to that point took three people and about a half a day. But it looks great and I definitely recommend it. The panels are a little flimsy, but once you install them, they feel like they’re going to be very very sturdy. We were a little nervous at first all in all overall opinion is that this will do very well in the Highwind high heat city of Las Vegas. ... show more

  • Good structure, but lots of details and pieces
Color: White Size: 14' x 10'
We purchased the 14'x10' in white to match our window & door trim. Putting the pieces together isn't difficult but you have to pay attention to if the holes are supposed to face up and down. There are inconsistencies in the instructions. For the braces on top of the poles, we clearly understood that the screw holes had to face up so the roof support beams could be screwed on top. However, the support bracket on the back of the structure had the holes drilled on the upper side when the picture shows the bracket supposed to be on the bottom. We had to take it off and improvise. Page 12 also shows that there are brackets to put on the back of the structure to slide the roof panels into. You can do this if the structure is already attached to your house. It is very difficult to slide the roof panels in place along the back of the structure, but they must align on the roof panels for the front of the structure won't go in and align. The panels are delicate, must slide into the brackets carefully. We used a flathead screwdriver to widen the brackets and a rubber mallet to tap the panels into the brackets. It took the 2 of us and a neighbor all day to put it together. But we are really pleased and hope this will hold up for a couple of years. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Color: Dark Size: 12' x 10'
Our back deck gets full sun all day long and during the summer months, it is not even usable. This year, We decided to purchase this Pergola and it was by far the best money ever spent. It took about six hours for my Husband and I to build it and everything went very smoothly. The most challenging part is lining up the fiberglass tiles to fit snuggly so that it doesn’t leak and while yes this can be frustrating and a bit time-consuming, It’s very important if you don’t want a leaky roof. We opted not to attach it to our home, but instead we attached it to our deck and it is very stable once it is attached. We also opted to turn it sideways with the lower sloping in running off the side of the deck. We did this because My Husband is 6 ‘3” and would smack his head otherwise also when it rains or snows, the water can slide right off of the deck and not over top of our staircase, and from the angle that we get the sun, the slope actually works better for us . We absolutely love love love our new space and have spent all weekend outside, enjoying it. My advice would be prepared to spend most of the day doing this and Follow each step one at a time and be precise. Take your time and you’ll end up with less issues. It’s worth it. (Oh, and it arrives in two separate boxes on two separate days so don’t panic like I did when only the first box arrived) ... show more
