I recently purchased the bowflex 1090 dumbbells. Initially, I decided against buying a stand, however quickly realized that was a mistake! Heavier DBs are easier to grab from a rack, the 1090's are no different, probably even more so because of the design. However after spending as much as I did on the DBs themselves, I didn't want to drop an additional $200 bucks just for a stand. So I starting shopping around and stumbled on this one. The stand itself seems very solid so far. I opted to not put the wheels are as recommended by another reviewer. I think given the size of the DB's the stand has a better foundation without it. Being directly on hard surface is the safer more stable bet. The assembly was pretty simple too. I'd definitely recommended attaching the DB based to the stand first before completing. The screws that come with the bottom of the base are just barely long enough to secure it to the stand. Only with the rubber base and washer though. I'll likely take a trip to the hardware store to grab longer screws. For now its attached well enough, and I also purchased some straps to help secure it. No wiggle, no movement at all so far. On previous reviews some did not like the height of the stand and I understand why. It wouldn't hurt if it were a few inches taller but not a deal breaker. Given the heavier weight of the bowflex 1090s (90lbs) its about the average height of a rack at the gym where the heavier DBs would be. Overall for the price so far so good. If you want to save a few bucks Id give it a shot. This is a pretty early review I haven't had it a week. This could change in a few weeks but I'd doubt it.     • This product does NOT work with jaxjox dumbells like they say it does
Thos product advertises that it can be used with jaxjox digital dumbbells, but that is inaccurate. It's a scam to get your to buy the product then only to have to return it. Waste of time if you want to attach jaxjox dumbell base to the stand.

First of all, I think the quality is excellent at the price-point. I like the locking wheels and assembly was easy, with included wrenches that were useable but slow-I used a 14mm box end wrench and a 13mm ratchet wrench for speed of assembly. There are numerous holes for mounting different brands of weights, but none of them came close to lining up on the bases of the Pro-Form weights. Also my bases were not threaded for the threaded knobs, so I used a M6x1.0 speed tap on my holes. I then made a pattern with a couple sheets of paper and used a pencil to trace each of the holes, then used a hardened punch to mark each of the hole locations on the mounting plates once I centered the pattern. To allow for errors in my tracing I used a progression of increasing drill bits, 3/8” final hole size. After I did the modification the plates fit nicely as you can see in the last picture. ... show more

I needed a dumbbell stand for a set of REP Quick Draw adjustable dumbbells which have bases that are wide and very long. Most stands have trays that are too small. This stand has flat trays that are designed to bolt into the underside of the base. This allowed me to modify these to work by bolting a larger piece of wood on and then zip tying the base onto that. Pros of these stands: First, the price was pretty low compared to many other options out there. Second, the design is very compact and space saving which is perfect for my home gym which has limited space. Third, the wheels make it easy to move the whole thing around if you need to. Cons of these stands: The quality is a bit suspect. The first one I ordered had a tray that was badly warped. I had to order a replacement and the replacement also had one tray that was warped. Fortunately, between the 2 of them I was able to cobble together 1 functioning stand. The welds don't look great, but will hopefully hold. Finally, the finish isn't great either and there was a little rust. If the quality was better I would have given them 4 or maybe even 5 stars. But these were the only viable options I could find for my use. I noticed another person with the same REP dumbbells used the Yes4All stands with slight modification, but that one is too big for my purposes. ... show more
