The light is bright without being overwhelming, and the dimmer options make it perfect to use in the evening when you want a dimmer light. The shelves are perfect for storing chargers and other small items. I even have a 15" squishmellow shoved on the bottom shelf to make it a little more decorative. Bought this to use in the livingroom. It was easy to put together and looks nice. I love that there are USB charging plugs, it makes it convenient for charging our phones and tables. The shelves are big enough to hold items without taking up too much space. It seems pretty sturdy, we have it in a pretty high traffic area, and we have an 85 lb black lab and he hasn't messed with it or knocked it over. I wouldn't recommend putting heavy items on the shelves, but it's great for decorative items. I like the remote, it works and makes it easy to turn on and off when watching movies. I have this in my guest bedroom. The shelves allowed me to put a small basket with water and snacks. The remote my guest loved. They could read in bed and did not have to get up to turn the light off. It was easy to assemble. All parts were there and instructions were clear.
