The lights are pretty especially next to a Gaming computer with RGB lighting. It's durable having spilled coffee on it already a quick wipe down later and its in good shape. I purchased this ADATA Durable HD770G RGB 1TG 3.1 USB external hard drive to copy my files from my 10 year old HP G62-144DX laptop which HDD might be failing. I received it on March 27, 2020. All I had to do to use this was connect the included USB 3.1 cable, which I found to be extremely short, it's only about 12" long, but once connected it automatically installed its software and I was able to start using it immediately. Unfortunately, only about half of my files got copied, about 200GB which took more than an hour to get copied from my laptop, but for some reason the other 200GB of files didn't get copied. I don't know if it's a problem with the files or with the drive, but for now I will assume it's a problem with the files. I tried a 2nd time to get those files copied over, but again most of them could not be copied to the external drive. Because of the length of time it takes to get large number of files copied/transferred, I stopped after the 2nd attempt, but still want to get those files transferred to this drive before my laptop's hard drive fails, so I will try again, but next time instead of selecting and copying multiple folders, I will try one at a time to see if that works. If that doesn't work and I'm unable to copy the rest of my files, then I will have to lower the rating I've given for this hard drive. I will update my review if and when any problem develops with this hard drive. ... show more

I'm destructive. I forget stuff is plugged in the raptop & when external drives drop, bad news. SecureDrive recovered my last one & the only ki d that works for me is military grade. So, me-proof and a good item = buy it.

It looks great, works perfectly for my Xbox One. Love the rubber around the hard drive, helps keep it in one place. The lights on the hard drive stay on even when the Xbox turns off. The only bummer about the hard drive is that it doesn't give the full 1TB. I plugged it in and I only got 947GB out of it. Not a big deal, but still didn't own up to the full 1TB ... show more
