I really hate all the reviews that were posted. I almost didn't buy this chair, but the price sucked me in. 1st, I bought the chair because of its size and someone's review that stated perfect for a smaller room. Well, it is perfect for a smaller room. Mine. I wanted a smaller recliner that I could put in my room for reading purposes. I hated lying down with pillows. Uncomfotable... So 1 reviewer stated it didn't come with hardware and they are right, the screws did not come in the box, however I can still use my chair without them since you slide the back in place. I carefully without using a heavy hand gently pulled out the handle and my chair reclined nicely. I pulled my legs down slowly to close the recline and no problems. Maybe the screws have something to do with the problem, I don't know but haven't needed to put wd-40 either which I was fully prepared to do. My daughter wanted me to get one of these from big lots but I stuck to my guns and bought and love this chair. I am always careful and not rough with my things so I see me having this chair for a while. I am a 165 lb women, 53 years old. Chair fits me perfect and I can read more comfortably and take a little snooze if I want to. Love this chair and the price. Be careful with this chair and you will have it a long time. If anything changes I will let you know.. Chair feels sturdy as far as the frame goes, doesn't squeak at all. Filling is firm so you won't sink in it. Great chair for the price. I would definitely recommend. My inspiration was my son was born in Arcadia, California... Great Arcadia Recliner... ... show more

  • Buy one before they are all gone!
This a great little recliner! Not too big, just right for those corner spaces where you want a chair but not one of those massive things with all the gizmos that you have to put a foot or more away from a wall to keep it from banging it up. This is also a good chair for older folks too since you don't sink 12 feet down into a pit when you sit in it! On top of that it is very comfortable to sit or recline in. (I nearly fell asleep in it when I tried it out!) It is actually much more comfortable than many of the chairs I tried out in the furniture store or department store that cost 3 or 4 times as much. The only drawback is the limited color selection but since this is a fairly nuetral color it wasn't a problem for me. The only assembly is sliding the back onto the frame and it's quite easy to do. The chair doesn't weigh a ton either yet it seems very sturdy and well made. I compared it to the $99 recliner Sears was offering at the local store and this chair is way better! The fabric and stitching on this chair is much better and delivery was free. (Sears isn't of course). The Sears promo recliner is junk next to this chair. I saved a whopping $163 over the next cheapest recliner ($259) at the local furniture store because they charge $89 for delivery and then sales tax too. If I had room for two I'd buy another! ... show more

  • This is from China
If I had looked at this chair at a 'brick and mortar' store I would not have bought it. This is a very cheaply made chair which is as much irritating as it is disappointing. Each time I use it I am reminded of how poorly made it is. There is zero padding on the sides; the thin fabric is directly over what feels like plywood. The footrest has very little padding and is uncomfortable under the legs and feet. The footrest release is difficult to use and requires a lot of hassle to use. The footrest snaps up suddenly and is noisy. Getting the footrest to close is an even bigger hassle; I have to kick it to close it. The pros of this chair are It is small. For a small den or room it does fit well. The color. The sage green is a light sage and does match the particular rug I have. The cons are Cheap Cheap Cheap Chair length is too short. I am a five foot four inch woman with not long legs, and my feet hang over the edge of the footrest, on the ankles, on an unpadded and uncomfortable rest. Hassle factors of use (see above) If it weren't such a pain to return a big item like this I would. But, returning this is a bigger project than I can manage, so I will keep it. If the advertisement stated this was made in China I would not have bought it, but I did use that as the title. Save your money and get a chair that is better made and not a piece of junk. ... show more
