I bought this ladder to get things out of my attic. After about a week of use I have some pros and cons. Pros: * It is lightweight. (If you can carry two gallons of your preferred beverage you can carry this. If you can't carry two gallons of something, someone should be doing this ladder work for you and people should be ashamed to put you in the position to have to do this yourself. That's my opinion for what it's worth.) * It is easy to open and easy to close. * It stores fairly flat. * The nonskid pads on the steps do what they advertise. Cons: * It can quickly overbalance. I was trying to get down an item from the attic the other day that wasn't very heavy but was large. It slipped and nearly ended with me flipping the ladder over. I would not advise this for anyone who has poor balance or has to have their hands above their head. * It does not have a latch to hold the ladder open. It's a small thing, but I feel a little more secure when I know that the ladder won't collapse shut if it leans too far. * I have large feet and this is.....ok but it doesn't really feel terribly steady for me because my feet can only be about two inches apart and remain inside the ladder. Will I continue to use this ladder? Yeah....I need a ladder. Do I wish it was a bit more stable? Oh hell yes. ... show more

DO NOT BUY!!! Haven't even had 6 months (only used maybe 5 times total) and today, I used it to climb only to the third step to get something off a high shelf (right next to our basement stairway I should add) and the damn thing contorted and warped away right out from under me, leaving me to fall and nearly break my back when I landed on the ladder, which by then was laying sideways on the floor!!! Thank God I didn't fall the other way and down the stairs!!! It is rated for 300lbs and I am only 215lbs so you be the judge! Not cool at all!!! ... show more

This ladder has two steps about a foot apart, and the frame extends another half-foot higher. The frame is one tall bend of tubing, with a smaller bend that folds out, and the main hinge seems durable. Each step is a single piece. The supports for the steps are thin, but seem strong enough. I climbed up and it felt like my weight was not a strain on it. The only weak point is the flimsy safety latch. It is just a small flat curve of metal that you swing out when you set up the ladder, and it holds on to the top step’s support at one end. It wouldnt take much to bump it out of place, so dont get rowdy when climbing this ladder. ... show more

The ladder is fine until you step on the 3rd step, a pants-sh!tting readjustment happens (pardon my French but it’s so so bad!) where the ladder legs slide about 2 more inches apart. It is terrifying and happens no matter what weight the person is. We had 3 different people try it from 150-230 lbs and the sudden scooting out of the legs happened each time. Is it just ours?? We needed it to finish up painting but we may throw it out after. ... show more

Ok... I like the mats on the steps and that it is compact. However, there is no bracing between the front and back legs. When my husband stepped on the third step it started to do the splits on him. He isn’t a giant, but at 200 pounds should be able to climb a step stool without worrying he will have to brace for impact as it crumbles like a house of cards. If you are a larger person.... get something more sturdy. ... show more

Bought for my wife so she can get up high for cleaning, painting, etc. A little heavy for her, but seems to be sturdy and will easily support her weight. Folds up nice and flat for storage. The handle up top is good to steady her as she climbs. Probably won't use the 4th step but will be useful for holding tools, supplies, etc. ... show more

Like this ladder as I needed something a little taller so I could wash windows and reach my ceiling on my porch. This really helps. It is a little heavy for me but I can move it around. It is not hard to fold and stores easily.

At 5’2” and a house full of cathedral ceilings with storage built all the way up, I needed the most ladder height. Could find, while still being able to store it.
