I ordered this stool to replace a similar model that I keep in my kitchen that had recently cracked. So far, this one seems better constructed. It is slim and sleek when folded and perfect for storing in small spaces such as in a closet or in the space between kitchen appliances. At only 12.5-inches
wide by 13.5-inches tall when folded, it does not take up much room when stored in the closed position which approximately 1.75-inches thick, and it weighs just under 2-pounds. I weigh 150-pounds and it is more than strong and stable enough for my weight with its 300-pound rating; just make sure it is fully unfolded when you step on it. The step is nice and wide at 8.5-inches by 11-inches, and it has a no-slip texturing on it. The bottom of the legs also have small no-slip rubber inserts to help prevent the stool from sliding around when in use. The stool easily opens and by simply pushing down on the step with your hand at the handle until it snaps into the open position, and that built in handle is very handy for carrying it around. It closes just as easily by pulling up on the handle. At 8.5-inches tall when setup, it’s not as tall as my older 11-inch tall stool, but I can still get that extra reach I need for items high up in my kitchen cupboards. The listing says it is 9-inches tall, but it unfortunately measures at 8.5-inches. Because of this I am knocking one star from my review, and because when in the open position the side walls don’t completely lock and they feel a little flimsy. Otherwise, at only fifteen bucks this is a good value for an easy to store step stool for anyone that is under 300-pounds.

Perfect for when that top shelf is Just out of reach

This is no ladder, adding only 9 inches to your height/reach. The top cabinet shelves in our kitchen are just above my wife's reach so this was all she needed. This is your pretty standard step stool, the kind that I have been used to for years and needed to replace the one that broke. It's a pretty decent step and I originally went for this kind because I can easily fold it and spare some space. My only complaint is that it folds/unfolds a bit too easily.
I have almost gotten my fingers pinched quite a few times and I had to be really careful with my 3 year old granddaughters moving it around because of this also. Would be great if there was some sort of locking mechanism to keep it from snapping close while moving it from one area to another.

I'm so glad I found this step stool in PINK! My favorite color! The color is nice and vibrant as well. It came exactly as described, although with no instructions on how to open or close it, but it's very simple to figure out! Simply open it up and "lock" down the top til you hear or feel it click in
to place, then you're good to go! To store it, just pull the top up and fold in the sides to store it. It goes completely flat, and saves so much space! I just put it under my bed. Very sturdy! Has a 300 pound weight limit, and I'm about 275 pounds and when standing on it, it's very sturdy and can hold the weight! It also is the perfect height I need to reach my tall ceilings to clean them as well as the tops of my windows and to hang pictures up, anything you'd need it for! Love this stool!

This is a decent enough little step stool, which conveniently folds flat for storage. We’ve had an older - similar - step stool for over a decade now with little issues, but this one gives us something of an upgrade because it has rubber inserts on the bottom of the legs and on the step surface itsel
f. The old one admittedly ‘slid around a bit’ on the floor if you weren’t careful, this one does none of that. I’m not heavy enough to test if this will actually hold (as stated) a 300lb person or not, but I can state nothing happened under ⅔rds of that weight! I do love how it smoothly folds into itself when you pick it up. I guess my only concern is that it carries a warning to stand across it rather than on a lengthways fashion. I see the logic; spreading the load more evenly, less change of slipping off and all that, but it concerns me that the design is somehow flawed creating this warning. Perhaps it is some kind of OHSA ruling?

no issues but feels weak on the top joint

It can be a bit difficult getting it to open up and lock. it almost always startled us poping into place when we thought we already had it locked. it folds up small and is lightweight enough to move from room to room. overall great, just not sturdy enough for more delicate members

This stool barely adds enough height to be useful, but it's better than nothing for trying to reach the tallest shelves in the kitchen. It is pretty sturdy - though it makes a clicking noise every time I first step on it as the plastic clicks into place. I was startled the first few times I stood on

It folds and unfolds very nicely. It holds my weight just fine. My only complaint would be that the sides don’t totally unfold and it makes me nervous while using it.

Lots Of Support For Such A Small Space Saving Stool

I already have one similar to this one and love it! It's so small, but yet can hold a good amount of weight. I'm not the lightest at the moment and it supports my weight just fine (hate to disclose, but I know this will help some people decide. I'm about 235lbs right now. Ugh!) I keep one downstairs
with my car for when I want to clean my car; helps me reach the top of the car and other hard to reach areas, as well as the storage in my garage. I honestly was worried it would not hold me. When I got on for the first time, I was super careful and holding on to something just in case, but it turns out it can handle the weight just fine. It folds in half for storage to about an 1 inch wide, fits anywhere. Didn't measure it, but it becomes super slim for easy storage. Only thing I would suggest is be careful when you fold it, make sure you're finger does not remain in the handle, because it can smash your finger. I held it wrong the first time and ouch. But other than that, it's a great little stool! This one will stay in the apartment for use by me and my grandson.

Handy, foldable, easy to store! I will use this little step stool a lot!

This little stepstool is made so perfectly to be stored in a small area! You can just pull it out and easily open it up. It settles into place once you open it, sit it on the floor, and push down on it firmly. You don't have to worry that it's going to slip and slide on a wood, tile, or other hard su
rface. The legs are rubber-backed and are gentle on the floor, and the little step stool stays in place. (Of course, as with any footstool, you must be sure to place your feet evenly on it, so that it doesn't tip one way or the other.) I use this type of step stool often, for so many different purposes! Cabinets that are just a little bit too tall to get to the top shelf; the laundry room shelf that is just a little bit too high; the light on the porch that you need just a little more height to be able to change the bulb, and the list goes on! This is the kind of step stool I like to keep in different places all over the house. It's just that handy!

really lightweight, questionable traction, feels very flexy, concerning labels, won’t get again

Weighing in at just one pound thirteen ounces or eight-hundred thirty-four grams, it’s very lightweight. And I’m somewhat concerned about the weight capacity claims. The overall build design has a lot of reinforcement webbing, but the material itself is quite flexible. I’ve had other stools of simila
r design that claim the same capacity. But in their case, the material is very rigid and clearly reinforced with glass fibers (this one is not). This one sort of worries me. The plastic wrap for it also has a tag that states “FRAGILE handle with care, don’t stack or drop”. That’s pretty worrying. Then the side of the stool has a label that includes warnings about usage, but also storage temperature exposure above 30C(86F) and below -5C(23F). I had planned on using this thing in the garage so it would just stay out there all winter and summer. And where I am it frequently exceeds both of those temperatures. Those all add up to very concerning. Then there’s the non-slip surface white insert dots. They are basically flush with the surface and easily squish lower. So how do they provide traction for non-slip? I’m not sure. The rubber on the bottom of the feet looks like the most likely to be useful. But at the same time I almost fear it coming off if I look at it wrong. Overall, it might be totally fine and handle the stated claims, but I will not trust it to max capacity. Nor am I ever going to get this one again!

Good little stool if you need just a little extra height.

It is not super tall, so when I say a little extra, I am not kidding. But it is just tall enough that it hel
ps me to get things off that higher shelf in my cabinets that I simply can't reach otherwise. It has a little handle on top, making it easy to carry. It seems quite sturdy. I stepped on it and hopped a bit to see how it stood up, and I had no issues whatsoever. I do wish that it was a little bit taller, but overall, it's a good little stool and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.
