After dealing with a squeaky clutch for years I finally decided to try the lube that the owner's manual suggests. Guess what: It works great and has lasted months longer than anything else ive tried. Its also great for generally everything ive tried it on from door hinges to locks.

I have used this on door hinges and hood releases. It is a liquid going on but turns into a gel after a while. This is an actual lubricant unlike WD-40, which is a solvent for rust and moisture displacement.

The owners manual for all GM vehicles recommend this lubricant for door locks, door hinges, hood hinges, latches, etc. I can’t find anything that works better. I’ve tried WD40 and PB blaster for creeky door hinges and it works for awhile then back to a clunky/creeky noise. This stuff sprays on and stays on and there is no noise. Super lube sprays on like WD40, then after a few hours (depending on outside temp) it solidifies to a silicon lubricant. It's expensive but definitely a step up from typical silicone spray lube. The problem I have with silicone lube is that it only lasts a week or so. The ACDelco lube last longer.

I’ve been using this lube for close to twenty years because it’s the best I have found for quieting noisy plastic joints. It’s not slimy and doesn’t deteriorate the parts. It’s not cheap but in my opinion, it’s worth the money.
