  • Perfect little meter
Model: Meter/Softclix Device
This glucose meter is just perfect! It is very small and easy to travel to with. Despite its size, the display is well illuminated and easy to read. I like how it connects to my phone via Bluetooth and transmits the results of my blood sugar readings to my phone in real time. The companion app allows me to easily trend my blood sugar levels overtime, and reports can be printed off with ease for my physician to review. I highly recommend this meter! ... show more

  • Testing strips?
Model: Meter/Softclix Device
Testing Strips? The machine itself is great! However, I wish there would have been some prompting that there was not one testing strip inside the box or even that they were needed. I ordered this for my dad as his broke. He is in another state, so I am not aware of what is needed to check his sugar levels. He received this product and then was not able to use it because he did not have any strips that are necessary to use the machine. I would have gladly sent them upon the first order. As it is, they are being sent a week later in order number two. ... show more

  • The best hands down.
Model: Meter/Softclix Device
The accuracy, screen display, cost and associated app are fantastic. I bought 3 different brands and this performed the best, the Contor Next One is also very good but small screen and no reports on the unit.

  • Works great!
Model: Control Solution
My sweet 5 month old baby boy was diagnosed with Congenital Hyperinsulinism at 3 weeks old after being in the NICU with severely low blood sugar for weeks. He is on medications to keep his sugar levels up but we still have to check him several times a day. We use the Accuchek Guide meter that was given to us at the end of our NICU stay. I ordered the control solution because I am always worried that our meter isn’t accurate for some reason and needs to be calibrated. It was affordable and came in the mail quick with prime. It was super simple to use and to be honest I didn’t even ready the instructions. Like the blood requirement when testing It only requires a very very small drop onto the test strip and then I just followed what the meter said to do. You have to be careful though because the solution comes out really quickly. So far, it has worked great and we haven’t had any issue or our meter read out of range with the solutions. We use it every time we open a new container of test strip or have to change the batteries in the meter and it has always been accurate and within range. We have even compare it to our hospital and doctors readings with at visits. This has helped keep my mind at ease that I am getting very close to correct blood sugar readings on my sweet boy when at home! ... show more

  • The range is hardly a reliable indicator of an accurate test
Model: Control Solution
Doing the test is easy enough, but there is a huge range for the liquid to test "correctly" in for the two bottles of measured glucose. There should be an exact number, or at least a tight range response for the testing liquid. "High" and "low", with a range of dozens and dozens of points to still be accurate does not instill confidence. ... show more

  • Works as intended
Model: Meter/Softclix Device
Ordered as a replacement for an older one that stopped working. The new works good and as intended.

  • Great Replacement for Alpha Track 3 from Zoetis
Model: Meter/Softclix Device
I got this after reading an article on-line about a cat clinic that uses a human glucose monitor instead of the monitors that are supposedly for animals. I can verify that my cat is being monitor correctly. The incredible difference between this monitor and the reading record using the Alpha Track 3 are significantly different. The Accu- Chek readings are consistent with the cat’s previous monitoring using the old Alpha Track 2. I did get the Alpha Track 3 and wrote a review the the unit needs to be recalled due to defect monitoring I personally experience which could have resulted in serious condition for my cat. Many years ago I had a diabetic cat and used a human monitor and never had a problem as well. But I was told that these animal monitors were accurate —- they are not. ... show more

  • Check that you meter is working as intended
Model: Control Solution
I have four glucose meters (long story for another time) and I wanted to check that my Accu-Chek was working as intended. Mind you, this will not check the meter's ACCURACY, but it will check that the meter is functioning within the limits it is intended to. Over time you may drop the meter or handle it roughly, and this can affect the meter's functionality. The different bottles included are intended to check the meter at various glucose levels. The liquids are at a pre-set glucose level that the meter is calibrated to (i.e. you can't use this test liquid for a different meter) and when you set your meter to "test" (you'll have to check your meter for the buttons to press to get this to happen), then use the liquid instead of blood, the meter will let you know that it's functioning as intended. Again, different meters have different accuracy levels but that is another topic that's beyond this review. Long and short of it is, if you want to check your meter's functioning as it did from the factory (they suggest using it every time you open a new set of test strips), then you want this product. FYI, you will use 1 regular blood test strip each time you test the meter. ... show more
