I bought this to attach to my wheelchair, so i can transport hot drinks or open glasses from the kitchen to elsewhere without burning myself or spilling. For that, it works great. My arm rests are the set-back/desk style, so I have a few options for mounting, and the clamp works well vertically or horizontally. I have ended up using it a lot for cups of easy mac, too, or to stick small things in for transport that would fall off my lap. The opening in the bottom can be a bit tricky for things that are too small, but that's solved with a piece of cardboard cut to size. The phone slot is fine, but my phone is just a bit too thick to fit, even though my case isn't terribly big. I actually really like it for sticking smaller bits of mail into when I go to the mailbox. The clamp always takes more turning than i expect when i need to remove the holder for folding up my wheelchair, but at least the knob is big and the shape makes it easy to turn even when my hands feel weak. ... show more

I use one for my golf cart and one for my wife's bike. The cell phone holder is a little tight if you have a big cover on your phone. Holds a normal soda or beer can well. It adjusts to keep it level which was necessary for my golf cart.

I bought this to use on the arm of my folding camp chair. It worked pretty good. The rounded clamp didn’t exactly match the more square arm of my chair but it still held pretty tightly even with a pretty heavy metal cup. My only complaint it the phone holder on the side snapped of after only about half a dozen times using it. I think I can glue it back on with contact cement. Haven’t tried yet. Still works as a cup holder..just have to fix the phone holder as that was what I really wanted it for. ... show more

The clamp is great for any size or shape bar that I need to clamp it on ( even square tubing). It's easy to swap it out from my laundry cart to my bike to my grocery cart & so on & so on.
