I love this chair and ottoman. I purchased it for my 95 year old mother who needed a place to sit and watch TV from other than her bed. It is petite and fits perfectly in her bedroom. The chair is not cushy, nor has soft filling. Though the seat is firm, it is perfect for someone who has any issues with getting up out of a sitting position. I would say that it is not only for an elderly person, but anyone who suffers with back problems or other orthopedic conditions that makes it challenging to get out of a chair. I have also sat in the chair and I must say I rather like it! I am very comfortable when sitting in the chair. The other nice feature is that it does come with the ottoman, which is really a bonus and functionally great for someone to be able to put their feet up while relaxing in this chair. In terms of assembly, it was merely screwing in the legs of the chair and ottoman. Easy as pie! The design of the chair is clean and simple and would look nice in many different decors. For the price, I feel like I shouldn’t complain. However, we were a bit disappointed given the good reviews. The chair looks good, but it’s not comfortable; it’s very hard, not soft at all.
