    • Anti-stank insurance and worth every penny: end the crop dustings
This stuff is expensive. You may ask yourself, “self, do I really want to pay the cost of a nice filet mignon dinner for dog food?” The better question to ask is, what will you pay not to get crop dusted by your older dog? Our Samoyed, who is always laying down within 5 feet of us, would let both Silent But Deadly and thunderous farts rip next to us. It was awful. About a dozen times a day, the noxious smell of a fart that had a fart that was bottled and past its expiration date would fill our nostrils and make us gag. No more! Now with this uppity dog food, our dog no longer terrorizes us and we can go back to living peaceful lives. Don’t think of this as dog food, think of it as anti-stank insurance. ... show more

    • At last something my dogs will eat.
My 2 80# dogs are spoiled to the core (a Gordon Setter and a great Pyr mix). They get home cooked topping of ground meat and chopped fresh veggies with their kibble. One of my dogs has some digestive issues because he is a glutton and eats things he shouldn’t, so I also add a sprinkle of Adored Beast Fidos Flora, a special doggie probiotic, and it keeps his tummy calm. Both my dogs do like Acana singles with one exception. **The coating on the outside of the nuggets turns them away, so I rinse off a portion each day with boiling water and then they gobble it up.** I know the Acana dog food is excellent and the variety is a big plus, so I don’t mind the extra step.     • Quality food for our poodle who has allergies
The food was recommended to us when we were troubleshooting our dogs allergies. He is a white standard poodle and we struggled with finding the right food as part of a program to help him out. After a few months his ears cleared. We still had a few other issues and he was later put on allergy medicine. As for taste, I will admit I have not tasted it 🤪 but he eats it with no issue.     • Choco lab wont eat it anymore
UPDATE: Our chocolate lab has been eating Acana for 10 years and is very food motivated. The last bag I purchased about a week ago and now she smells it and is hesitant to eat it…she eats it mostly because she is so hungry but never finishes anymore and the last 10 kibble or so, she she wont eat and literally spits it out. Even if i put a topper in. I suspect things have changed with the formulations. Still food motivated but just not for this food anymore. Super bummed. We are switching. ... show more

I did allot of research for a high quality dog food most especially easy on the digestive tract! The dogs LOVE it and they do great being on this product! Started with the Lamb and Apple for a couple of years and have integrated other ones of this same brand! It can seem expensive but the value of the product is well worth the health and well being of my dogs! ... show more

    • freeze dried vs. baked!
The quality breeder of my Bichon highly recommends this! Dogs seem to thrive on it without health issues. That's not been the case with other dogs I've had who were on baked kibbles.
