Needed a nice long cord to run power from the media cabinet, through the wall, to the TV. This cord was thick enough it felt solid, but not sooo thick that it was hard to bend/move. Very happy overall.

This is one of those things I can't really come up with a scintillating review for. It's exactly as described, a nice long 2-prong power cord, great for powering a Mac Mini on the top shelf of a shelving unit (what I got it for), some sit-stand desks (what I got a previous one for), smaller TVs, some network gear, boom boxes, Lenovo laptop chargers, etc. You probably can't tow a boat with it or winch a vehicle out of a gully with it, but you should know better. But if you need some range for a device that uses this connector, it's a great cord for that purpose. ... show more

A longer cord just has so much more versatility, and the manufacturer provided cable ties help you keep it neat. This has a thickened coating for extra toughness and the molded connector prevents stress and damage at this vulnerable spot. This cord is everything your OEM cord is NOT. It serves it's purpose; allowing for the full enjoyment and usability of whatever electronic it's being assigned to, by feeding uninterrupted power from the wall to the device. No more face-palms, searching for extension cords, or having to design your entire space around the limitations of a standard 3-6ft cable. We know those 3'/6' claims realistically amount to 1.5-4ft of "usable" cord length when it comes down to it... and face it, the wall outlet will undoubtedly be just out beyond reach, right?! Funnn!! NO. Not so much. Marketed as a 10'ft cord, the one I received measures in at roughly 9'2". A pretty standard deviation to expect in my experience, so no complaint there. I was also pleased to find a small bundle of black zip ties are included inside the clear plastic zip pouch the cord comes in. For those who share my cord compulsiveness- the supplied zips only confirm that now is the time to tidy up any possible cord nests lurking behind your entertainment stand or the like. Nice touch. Details: The cable sheathing is glossy and pliable to the touch, which depending on specific needs could be a pro or con as the flex is nice and easy to manipulate in tight spaces but on the flip, it also means little protection or low resilience in a high-use/exposed scenario. Not "heavy-duty" by any measure. Cable has EL logos and is stamped 300V/10AWG. Electric warning tag which clearly states "DO NOT REMOVE THIS TAG" was found loose at the bottom of the packaging with zero indication it was ever actually attached to the cord which was a tad sketch and did weigh a bit on the perceived level of quality overall. Typically those tags are a pain in the rear to remove. (how I know that? oh. uh. Nevermind!) Enough said. Proper power supply endowment achieved! It's a cord. It works. I got this to use with a small frigidaire can fridge I got at the thrift store. It had a plug for use in the car but the cord to plug it into the wall was missing. Luckily it was easy enough to find a replacement and this worked perfectly. The fridge now gets cold and still cost quite a bit less than a new one. Many of the other cord options I found would have brought the price up quite a bit so I was glad this was a more reasonable price. ... show more
