I ordered the ointment/spray gel combination pack. The spray gel was shrink wrapped and placed into a zip lock bag with the ointment tube, then both were placed into a sturdy cardboard box clearly labeled to keep the spray gel oriented "up" (which UPS ignored completely, of course). I don't think I've ever had a liquid product packed that well. If this is typical of how the seller is packaging their product for shipping, I don't suspect any complaints about "it arrived damaged" are going to be completely accurate. Now... having praised the shipping preparation, the products themselves need some words said about them: The ointment is not what you think of when you hear the word "ointment". Most of us think of a petroleum jelly type consistency, I'll wager. This is much thicker and stiffer than that. Where ever you apply this, that's where it's going to stay! I took the tube with me to a veterinary appointment and asked my vets opinion and he was more than happy to say that, yes, he would have no problems recommending it in appropriate circumstances. The "spray gel" isn't really a gel, per se... more like a thick liquid. The spray bottle comes with only two settings: "off" and "stream". There is no "spray" and having tried putting some into an actual spray bottle and getting a stream dispensed, I have to say that I'm shocked (SHOCKED, I SAY!) that the product is being marketed as being "touch free" for "large wounds". This is probably true for a slice or gash type wound, but for a large rash or abrasion type of wound, the stream application is going to need to be slathered over the wound by hand. I deducted one star because of this. If it were actually possible to use the "spray" gel as a "spray", it would have gotten all five stars (with a notation that it probably deserved more). ... show more

Have had to use this on the animals in the barn for minor wounds/cuts/scrapes. My Vet found out I was using it and was pleased, she also agreed this is a barn staple.

My cat somehow got a bad gaping gash on one of his back feet. A bully neighborhood cat recently tried to jump in my front window, and has also been making the rounds attacking other cats - so he is likely the source of the wound. I cleaned it and was applying liquid colloidal silver and it was not getting better. The wound was still open, bleeding, and oozing. I was worried that a very expensive vet visit was in my future. After just a few days of applying the ointment three times a day, the wound stopped bleeding and oozing. After less than two weeks of appication, the infection completely cleared and the wound closed. This is a miracle balm and I am now a grateful customer for life! ... show more

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this product saved me from having to take my dog to the vet and pay what would’ve surely been hundreds of dollars. My dog had a horrendous case of the fleas this year. Her typical monthly treatment wasn’t working and she had developed a really bad hotspot on her leg from itching. It was oozing pus and getting worse quickly so I started furiously, searching Amazon for hotspot treatments. I decided to trust other reviews that said this product worked wonders for their dog and I am so glad I did! The pictures show my dogs paw after about 1-2 weeks of use, looking so much better than it did, and the last picture shows her progress exactly 1 month after we started using this product, well on the way to having all her fur grow back in. We only had to use it for 1-3 weeks, applying frequently, up to 3x a day for the first few days, then decreasing the frequency until it was no longer needed- I have lots leftover. I used the spray and gel in combination with soft E collars, and vet tape and nonstick gauze for the first week to keep her from licking at her hot spot while this product worked it’s magic. This stuff is like magic! You need very little product, and it spreads well. A little goes a long way. I applied this to my dogs belly after he chafed a spot from kicking. The next night it was like it never happened. I have used it on minor cuts or scratches the dogs get, and it heals quickly! This tube is exactly as described. I see reviews of people saying the tube is too small...but come on, the amount in ounces is shown on the product pictures and in the item description. If you need a solize reference, it is about the size of a tube of diaper rash cream. And a little goes a long way. Typically apply a small pea sized amount and amd gently spread it. You don't need to glop it on. It's not peanut butter. Less is more. ... show more

This seemed to help with healing the recent bite scar on my beagle's face. And he does not seem to mind it being put on him. It's not gross or stinky. This tube was more than plenty as I really only needed a very tiny dab. I wish I'd started.putting it on him earlier, so the scarring was probably already somewhat beyond repair, but I think it helped it heal better than it.wpuld.have healed without.
