I don't know honestly who had more fun with this, my grown husband or my home schooler! I think they equally were excited to explore this kit! We used this kit as a "mental break" from school and she didn't even realize that she was still learning! The vr goggles are nice and seal great so that the phone is held securely during use, and were easy enough to adjust. The app was incredibly bright, easy to see and shared tons of information. The dig kit was also fun, it takes time to dig out and didn't just fall apart easily. Overall, this was a great kit and I would love to see more kits made to cover other topics! I am considering gifting one to my nephew as well for Christmas, because who doesn't love a gift that keeps kids learning and entertained? ... show more

If you have a shark living kid, this is a perfect kit for you. The box is bright, big and colorful which is perfect to gift somebody with. The virtual reality goggles really work and are fun.     • For a kid, this is fun!
While the fossil fun included in this package is a nice bonus, what's really the star of the show is the pretend VR. Granted, you have to supply your own phone and that's what's doing the work, you get access to the videos/educational material with your purchase. The videos are really fun for kids and they'll want to watch them over and over. What would be really great is if they would just keep adding to a library and a kid would be able to watch this type of material until they eventually grow out of it. ... show more

This kit is even better than I thought it would be! My son loves ocean creatures and has since he was 2! I could not wait to get this. The VR is wonderful even though you have to use your phone. This kit would make such a wonderful gift for all kids and maybe even the adults!

This is a great way to get kids involved with science. Our son already loves the concept of VR and this was a very positive way for him to have the experience while simultaneously learning. Because he has fun doing it, it is really sticking with him. Days after playing it, he will randomly talk about the facts of what he experienced and to me, that's a valuable learning experience. My daughter loves sharks so this was a big hit. The fossils are okay but the VR is super fun for the kids to play with and learn about sharks. Love it.

    • Waste of money
The app would not install on our phones or laptop. It took an old tablet to get the app installed. It played a video about sharks on repeat and would not move on to the next video. Very disappointing.
