I really like this box spring. I bought a foam hybrid mattress. I was just going to put my mattress down on the frame with either a bunky board or slats. Then I realized that that would be a problem because the mattress probably would only have been about 7 inches above the ground not including my mattress. For me, that would have been way too close to the ground. I bought box spring basically because I could get it quickly and it would place my mattress higher up than it would be otherwise. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to put together. This works good and you would never even know that it wasn't like the old fashioned box springs where you had the springs and all the padding and the wood frame. It's very lightweight, one person assemble & can move it around with no problem. It fits perfect in the bed frame. There were two things that are worth noting, nothing bad but definitely should be mentioned. There's a fitted cover that goes over the metal frame. You have to be careful not to put it on sideways. I guess this one only applies if you have a king size bed because both sides are very similar in size but not the same. Also once you have the proper direction of the cover, it's better having another person help you finagle the cover over the metal box spring frame. The first time we tried putting it over the frame, it kept coming up short on the front side. This can be adjusted and it's not really a problem. But with only one person your going to be doing a lot of running back and forth making adjustments. I noticed is that after the mattress is placed on top of the box spring, If you're not careful and you lean on it from the side, the mattress will move or shift. Aside from those caveats, I think it's a good product, it's just what I was looking for. It was inexpensive, it came relatively quickly and it appears pretty sturdy. I purchased the twin size for my daughter's bed because she has broken two wooden box springs by jumping on her bed and this seems sturdier. It's only been a few days but her mattress seems firmer and like it may hold up. It was packaged well with fairly clear instructions, but I would not try to use the tools that come with it. I ended up using a ratchet and my allen wrench set to tighten the screws and that made assembly much easier. The cover for it was not a zip up enclosure but more like a fitted sheet type cover with straps to hold it on. It is made out of thick material like a regular box spring would have on it. Easy to put together, sturdy, and completely silent if you...move around. Even if you're really moving...not a squeak. Much better than any elevated mattress base. It's only slightly lower than an elevated bed frame. Definitely get this if you're looking for quality.

Some of the metal tabs for connecting the pieces of this frame together... they were bent right out of the box. Seems to be happening a lot with Amazon stuff lately, especially furniture. But we made it work! We were still able to sink the bolts and connect the nuts. The metal bent into place once we tightened the bolts down. It was fine. Just something to be aware of. If you need, grab a pair of pliers and bend it back into shape before you screw it together. Overall, this bed frame is great though. We like the size of it for our new king bed. The cover came with 1 ripped elastic strap, so it only straps onto 3 corners. Another strike... But it works. If you don't have a truck and don't want to pay for delivery of a box spring, this is a good option for you. ... show more
