I got these because I thought it might be nice to get the random pliers, screwdrivers, and various other junk in the top drawer of my tool chest organized. I wasn't too worried about it but figured it was worth a try. Well, after going from the before to the after in the first two pictures, I'm really glad I got these. I'm going to save so much time not digging around for the smaller items that always seem to be hidden under the larger items, that alone justifies getting these. After I took care of that drawer I couldn't stop and continued to clean up some of the items in my sockets and wrenches drawers. Way less loose stuff sliding around in them is nicer than I thought, and although I still have to dig in these bins a little to find the tool I need, the fact that they're grouped together now makes it a lot quicker. One star got knocked off because of damage to two of the trays. There was no visible damage to the outer box or the inner box these came in, so they were either shipped broken, or it doesn't take much force to cause damage to these. The plastic is fairly thin and these are not heavy duty by any means, but they don't really need to be for their intended purpose. ... show more

Quite surprised when this showed up, not what I was expecting. That I mean in a good way. Good supply of different sized components that interlock together and provide a multitude of storage possibilities. Each component has a locking lip that locks it onto another piece, only thing with this system I would of liked to see different is for additional locks to be incorporated into each piece to further secure the individual sections. ... show more

Got this for organizing around the house and garage. It's a lot of pieces and they fit together well in a lot of different combinations. Great for organizing kids stuff, Lego, drill bits, etc. My only note (and the reason for the deducted star) is that the plastic isn't heavy duty. It's not cheap or flimsy by any means, its just not heavy enough for regular use in the garage. I would confidently refer to this as "medium duty plastic" if that's a thing. The A-LUGEI 42-piece storage organizers are sturdy and versatile. The trays come in three sizes with outside dimensions of approximately 3”x3”, 3”x9”, and 9”x9”. The interior sizes of the bins’ floor are smaller due to the bins’ wall thicknesses, the slope of the bin’s walls, and the lip that surrounds the bins’ top. The interior floors measure approximately 2”x2”, 2”x8”, and 8”x8”. The bins’ height is 2 inches. The bins’ wall thickness is 43 mils (1.1mm). The plastic is not brittle and has some give. The top of the bins is surrounded with a 0.275” (7mm) lip that adds strength to the bins. On one side of each bin is a ridge that can be used to join the bins together. You receive 15 bins of the small and medium sizes and 9 of the large size. At first you think, “Wow, I have a lot of bins. I can finally organize.” However, you quickly find that you don’t have enough of one bin size and too many of another. You also find that the sizes of the bins do not cover all the sizes of your stuff. Finally, you find out that organized stuff requires much more space than unorganized stuff. These bins are not the perfect solution for organizing, but they do provide you with a way to start. I wish these bins came in a 4.5”x4.5” size and a larger size, perhaps 12”x 4.5”. I also wish that you could buy a group of only one size. I am having fun trying out various ideas to use these bins in my toolboxes and in the home. I think that the strength of these bins is adequate for most users, but I am sure that some users will require more heavy duty organizing trays. If you are tired of trying to fit a bunch of nested cut-off cardboard boxes into your drawers for dividers then this set of neatly interlocking trays will suit you. These molded (not vacuum-formed) trays are made of a gray plastic that is about 0.050" thick and appears to be an impact resistant material. The actual tray height is a shade over 1.8" (listed height is 2") just in case you have a concern about fitting in your drawers. Each tray has a snap on one edge that allows any combination of small or large trays to be cascaded into an assembly that is 3", 6" or 9" wide by whatever length you need. For large drawer installations it should be noted that these assembled blocks themselves will be free to move about because the individual trays only interlock on one edge. Compared to the prices for plastic drawer organizers from other sources this 42-piece set appears to be a good value. Unless you have a large tool cabinet to fill with dividers you may find that this set gets distributed throughout your home or shop wherever you have a shallow drawer that collects small items. "42 trays!!!!" my partner grumbled, "You ordered FORTY TWO TRAYS? How could we possibly use that many?" "I thought you could organize your workshop drawers," I said, "and then whatever you have left I'll use in my studio." He took them out to his shop and returned a couple hours later: "Uhm...you might want to order a second set. I'm running out." There's nothing fancy about these trays; they're heavy-duty plastic in a charcoal color, in three sizes that can snap together in various rectangular and square shapes in a drawer. But they're exceptionally useful. The large/medium/small sizings are really nice for most tools and supplies; the two larger sizes are long rectangles that conform to most things you'll be putting in them: Pencils & pens, screwdrivers, scissors, etc. My partner's a blacksmith who's added a lot of parts drawers to his shop. He's been mostly dumping stuff in drawers to get it out of the way, which can make locating a particular part or tool very difficult. The organizers save him a lot of time, especially when he needs a particular part RIGHT NOW. (see photos). We're definitely ordering a second set. ... show more
