I bought the calendar for my 82 year old mom who loves A Christmas Story and needed a little cheer. She had so many people asking what she opened each day. She added fairy lights to the house. There are too many Bumpas’s dogs and no BB gun which is sad. Some of the doors are difficult to open which made some of the pieces slip to the bottom. This caused us to think we were missing part of the pole until we heard it rattling in the bottom. It would be nice to have the doors numbered, too. The media could not be loaded. My husband is a Christmas Story Fanatic. Went to the Christmas Story house on my birthday just for him. This was a great little surprise gift for him before Christmas. The figurines are great quality, and everyone loved replaying parts of the movie with each door we opened. The only thing we all missed was not having the Red Rider BB gun! ... show more

This was a lot of fun last Christmas season. Some of the items come in two or three parts and you get them separately. Here I am an adult and giggled when I opened each door.

About this for myself because I really enjoy this movie and wanted to treat myself to some holiday cheer. I'm still in the middle of opening it but already riding a review to say how much I adore it. Lots of super cute surprises and if you're a fan of the movie they get a lot of the details right. Figures are a little bit difficult to get out of the plastic that holds them in, but I also like that they are well protected and don't move around when boxed up. Highly recommend. ... show more

This started out as a very cute, well made advent calendar. Only giving four stars because the BB gun is not included! That’s the basis for the entire movie!! Instead of the fragile box and lamp over two days, combine them and add the BB gun! So disappointed.

I bought this for my sister looking for a new birthday gift idea (November). She has loved it! The pieces were better than expected and she has had so much fun posting videos of her opening the current day. We both LOVE the movie and the pieces so far have been a fun treat.

My daughter loved showing off what she got each day. The doors were not numbered so she opened all over the place. 1st door opened was the duck w/ head on plate she thought that was hilarious.
