There is, of course, an obvious difference between these types of rugs versus the thicker, more expensive types of rugs, but these are really great for the price point. We like the color and pattern, as it is exactly as the picture showed before ordering. We also love the fact that we can just throw it into the washer when dirty. We already had a decent mat down while we were looking for a new rug replacement. A mat is not mandatory for these types of rugs, but putting this rug on top of a mat gave it more cushion and is thicker than it would be by itself alone. Recommend. ... show more

I’m always a little wary of rugs advertised to be “washable” because of the weight. This rug is lightweight - about the same as a beach towel, and won’t tear up my washing machine. Because of the weight, I think I will need to add a non-slip liner, but that’s a fair trade off. This is a nice looking rug.
