  • Amazing ultimate controller
Color: White
I just got the 8bitdo ultimate controller yesterday and I absolutely love everything about it. I watched countless reviewers and heard about how much they liked this controller and I just had to get it. I liked it so much we ordered it in black . alot of people said they found it to be uncomfortable after playing for long periods I have not found that to be true . in fact i find it to be extremely comfortable I have small hands so it is a perfect fit . once again the reviewers were correct with how long it would take to charge and the ease of set up one of the easiest pro controllers to set up. This is the first pro controller I have had that has software that you can download on your smartphone \pc and all I can say is I love that feature and the way you can adjust the pro controller to your liking. This was my first 8bit do pro controller and it definitely will not be my last considering we got it in black. If I would Have known how nice these controllers were I would have bought them all along. From now on and in the future I will be purchasing 8 bit products. This ultimate pro controller puts the official Nintendo switch Pro controller to sleep in my book . I have had my Nintendo switch pro controller since it came out and it no longer does the functions the ultimate does . it no longer rumbles or does anything. The reviewers are right once you use the ultimate controller you never want to go back to.the Nintendo switch procontroller. Which was the same price as the ultimate and it after only 2 yrs is no longer functioning properly . And another thing that the ultimate has over the pro controller its own charging dock. Everyone has there own opinions on this but mine is the ultimate is an amazing controller with so much to offer it bears the switch pro controller hands down in my book. ... show more

  • Great PRO controller
Color: White
I have used a lot of different controllers from cheap ones to expensive and this one does it all for me. Its very comfortable to hold (I have small/medium hands) and have two options of connectivity is very nice. It has great battery life and the charging dock looks great wherever you want to put it. The only thing I have a problem with is to wake up your switch you have to shake the controller and sometimes it doesn't work. I am close to the switch so to hitting the button isn't a problem but for some this can be an issue. If you don't mind that then this is a great option. There is also software you can download for PC, IOS or Android witch lets you customize the button layout, trigger and stick sensitivity, and you can save up to 3 profiles. ... show more

  • I really like this controller!
Color: White
I'm a very casual "gamer" and don't usually spend money for gadgets and gismos aplenty. But I like my Switch and wanted a controller that wasn't the joycons. Thing that caused me to buy this one as compared to others? The 2.4 gHz bit. You can keep the little dongle plugged into the stand for the controller (which is in itself pretty nice) and as long as the stand is plugged into the switch (for, you know, power and charging and stuff) it will still allow you to use it on the switch. If it doesn't work, go into your Switch settings and find Procontroller setting and start turning stuff off and on. One of those settings is by default set in such a way it makes the controller unusable in 2.4 gHz mode. I don't remember which setting it is, but I do remember there is only two or three and every time I've set it up I've just done the whole, "Turn this off, does it work? No? Turn it back on and turn the next one off, does it work? Yes? Done." thing. Takes like one minute. Just know you can make it work and it's great. All other things? -Battery life: Seems good! I rarely play for more than a few hours so read another review to find out if it can withstand 48 hour marathons. -Comfort: It is, in fact, comfortable for my play sessions (which, as you may remember, tend to only last a few hours or less). -Connectability: I can't wake my switch up with it in 2.4 mode. I can in bluetooth however by giving it a good shaky shake. But, I rarely bother with this and instead keep it in 2.4 mode, stand up, push the power button on my switch, and get ready to blow minds with my awesome Mario jumps (full disclosure: I'm crap at video games regardless of how much I like them and no one's mind has, to the best of my knowledge, ever been "blown" by my Mario jumps). Although I don't buy many controllers, I do have a few friends that do, and I've witnessed struggles with bluetooth disconnecting. Which is why I wanted the 2.4g mode. And I think, to date after having used it as my primary controller for seven months now, it has disconnected once for about ten seconds. And I'm not sure that was even a disconnection. The controller was just suddenly off. At which point I wondered "Did I do that on accident? I might have... I'm pretty crap at making Mario jump and my thumbs have little minds of their own and might have pushed the power button or something," turned the controller back on, felt it reconnect (it gives a cute little vibrate when it connects) and it has never happened again. -Does other fun stuff: It vibrates (cutely), responds when Mario is next to a power moon in Odyssey by giving said cute vibration, lets me do all the shaky shake things that makes cappy go flying in the appropriate direction and makes Glidons stay airborne longer. I don't think it does the "make action figures give me things in the game" stuff (I cannot remember what they are called... something like Amoebas?), which is fine for me but maybe something you want. All in all, I like this controller. For a casual "gamer" who only plays Switch and wants a controller that doesn't get disconnected hardly ever, it's perfect. ... show more
