  • A Fantastic Controller with Just a Few Hiccups for iPad Users
Color: White Style: Hall Effect Joystick
Overall, this controller has been great. First off, the design is fantastic—it feels solid and comfortable to hold, and it has that wonderful retro aesthetic while still feeling modern. The buttons are responsive, the thumbsticks are smooth, and the D-pad is top-notch, which is perfect for anyone who enjoys precise control, whether for gaming or navigating accessibility features. As an iPad user, I was hopeful this controller would be the perfect companion for enhancing accessibility. Pairing it via Bluetooth was a breeze, and it’s been reliable for use with Apple’s AssistiveTouch and other accessibility options. The customization options with 8Bitdo’s software were also a nice touch, allowing me to fine-tune the controller to better fit my needs. However, there are some small limitations. While the controller works well with most iPad features, it doesn’t always integrate seamlessly with every app, especially those that don’t have native controller support. I also noticed that certain button mappings weren’t quite as smooth for some accessibility tools, which required a bit of adjusting. It would be great to see more refined iPad-specific support in future updates! That said, the overall experience has been incredibly positive, and I love how this controller has made my iPad more versatile. If you’re an iPad user like me, looking to enhance accessibility or just have a great controller for gaming, the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.4G is definitely worth it—just be ready to tinker a bit with the settings to get everything running smoothly. ... show more

  • Great controller
Color: Black Style: Hall Effect Joystick
Decided to try this controller out over my Xbox Elite Core controller. This one is a lot lighter on weight so it’s a bit more comfortable in that aspect. I never needed 4 paddles from the Core controller. Only ever wanted two, which this has. The only problem I have with the paddles is that they’re so flush with the controller that it’s hard to press and find sometimes. This controller is a little smaller than a normal Xbox controller as well as the angle of where you hold it being a bit different. It forces your elbows closer together and is better with smaller hands. Although, since I got used to using the bumpers on the PlayStation controller instead of triggers, it’s similar on this controller and more comfortable that way. I’m also used to the instant pull of the Core triggers which you can’t do with this. Which is another reason I use them instead. The Hall effect joysticks are kind of the main reason for this though. No stick drift and actually pretty precise. I also enjoy the fact that if you plug the dock into the computer, when you pull the controller off it auto connects to the computer. Plus vice versa. It will turn itself off when you put it back on the dock and start charging. I only use this for specific things like racing, some single player games, and some shooters seem to be better with controller. For the price, this controller is amazing. I’d rather buy this over an Elite controller to be honest. Plus it saves quite a bit over that controller as well. I just wish the angle was not like Xbox controllers and had the trigger locks so you could change where it stops. ... show more

  • End-all, be-all, the last controller I'll ever buy
Color: Black Style: Hall Effect Joystick
This is the most amazing controller I've had the pleasure of experiencing. I love the charging stand, and especially how the 2.4ghz adapter is removable from it. I can't figure out how to map the back buttons when using it on my steam deck, although I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Being able to seamlessly switch between 2.4 and BT is awesome, I use it with multiple devices. I haven't used the controller on a console yet, so idk if there are any issues in that department. I keep it on the stand so I haven't tested the battery life much, I did use it for like 6 hours straight no problem. Buttons feel really nice quality, and the hand feel is super comfortable. Coming from a xbox series controller to this, it is a tiny bit smaller. However, the series controller I have, the left stick has bad drift. Hall effect sticks are a godsend and am so glad the controller has them. Also, an incredible value in comparison to the xbox series controller, cheaper and a million times better. This is my first ever 8bitdo product, why did I not buy this sooner?! Highly recommended ... show more

  • The best pc controller I ever purchased!
Color: Purple Style: Hall Effect Joystick
Maybe it’s just me I’ve tried using Xbox controllers for PC in the past and always have had just a small degree of difficulty. This controller works perfectly from the start . Set up was easy, controller feels great. Has all the elements I would’ve wanted. Controller vibration is good, functionality is good. I am very impressed. It has Hall effect joysticks and Bluetooth as well as included dongle in a stowaway compartment on the bottom. One disappointment I ordered the purple and it’s a lot darker than what appears in the photo but not a dealbreaker it’s still looks great just would’ve been nice if it was a lighter purple. Overall, I believe I will be ordering another one maybe a different color although the purple is nice. Also the light on the bottom that comes on when it’s charging is awesome. ... show more

  • Purple model Prone to jamming
Color: Purple Style: Hall Effect Joystick
I love these controllers. This is my 2nd one. I previously bought the pink one and have been using it regularly for a few months. I love the analog sticks are hall effect. No more stuck drift hopefully. I had doubts about the pogo pin charging station but it's been reliable and convenient. I bought this 2nd one for couch coop gaming. The original pink one has no issues in the same environment and works flawlessly. I returned one of the purple ones as I was having disconnection issues. When I moved the new controller to a different better shielded PC in a metal case I had no issues after a few hours of open world 3rd person gaming. The minis forum mini PC I used this new purple controller causes enough interference on the 2.4ghz band that the receiver cannot work reliably and would have phantom inputs and disconnect after a few minutes of play I don't know what 8bit do does on the 2.4 frequency but one is reliable and one isn't. 4 stars for an excellent controller but the reliability will vary PC to PC depending on the RF environment. ... show more
