Overall, this controller has been great. First off, the design is fantastic—it feels solid and comfortable to hold, and it has that wonderful retro aesthetic while still feeling modern. It would be great to see more refined iPad-specific support in future updates! This is the most amazing controller I've had the pleasure of experiencing. I love the charging stand, and especially how the 2.4ghz adapter is removable from it. I can't figure out how to map the back buttons when using it on my steam deck, although I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Being able to seamlessly switch between 2.4 and BT is awesome, I use it with multiple devices. I haven't used the controller on a console yet, so idk if there are any issues in that department. I keep it on the stand so I haven't tested the battery life much, I did use it for like 6 hours straight no problem. Buttons feel really nice quality, and the hand feel is super comfortable. Coming from a xbox series controller to this, it is a tiny bit smaller. However, the series controller I have, the left stick has bad drift. Hall effect sticks are a godsend and am so glad the controller has them. Also, an incredible value in comparison to the xbox series controller, cheaper and a million times better. This is my first ever 8bitdo product, why did I not buy this sooner?! Highly recommended ... show more

It's about what you'd expect from a controller except the sticks feel much better compared to some others such as the Xbox One controller. The controller also has really good battery life and I've never had the thing die on me, it also includes a charging dock that you can leave the controller on when you are not using it. The back buttons are a bit disappointing as you cannot assign them to any keyboard key and they aren't recognized in any of the games that I have played as separate buttons, that being said they are pretty useful as you can make them mimic any button function on the controller. I got tired of the official Microsoft Xbox controllers constantly getting stick drift (I have 4 of them, all with stick drift) so I decided to try these aftermarket ones. Glad I did! Ergonomically this 8BitDo controller feels more like a PS5 controller than the regular Xbox controllers. Not that it's a bad thing, just a bit different. It's most noticable with the bumper buttons and the triggers. I love the charging dock, especially because the dongle is integrated into the dock itself. So as long as the dock is plugged into your PC, you can use it to charge the controller and as a wireless receiver. All the buttons feel nice and clicky. I've tested the sticks with a GamePad Tester (hardwaretester), and they came out perfect with no drift or dead zones. And unlike the EasySMX X20 controller I bought right before this one, both sticks actually register full movement. The only "negative" I could give it is the kind of small battery life. Which honestly is negated by the charging dock and a Type C USB on the controller itself. Awesome controller, hopefully it'll last longer than any official Xbox controller I've ever had. ... show more
