I really love this controller. It's only my second 8bitdo one, that first being more in the ps2 style which I also liked. This one is more comfy in my hand, the buttons and sticks feel a tad more responsive, and also it's cuter. The battery life seems really good too. The media could not be loaded. I've bought a controller from this company before, and these controllers are made very well! It feels really comfortable in my hand. I wanted an Xbox controller that connected to my pc easily and has a default configuration set up for most games, this one that and some! I love the charging station that also holds the Bluetooth plug in, which makes the connection way easier. And it looks really cute on my desk! 10/10 ... show more

    • Ok for Steam Deck but with limitations
Only works with Steam Deck using the wireless USB A dongle, not Bluetooth; which is fine if you only use your controller with your Deck with a dock that has USB A ports. If you want more flexibility offered by Bluetooth I recommend the 8bitDo Ultimate 2C wireless controller, which is what I got to replace this one after trying it. The 2C doesn’t come with a cute charging dock, but I appreciate being able to use it with my Deck undocked on a regular old tablet stand. ... show more

I literally only bought this so I could play Infinity Nikki on PC. It's an easy plug-and-play controller with no setup needed and it runs perfectly while I play my game. Seems like a good controller, feels good in my hands. Happy to have 2.4ghz wireless. Removing a star because mine came scuffed new out of the box. EDIT: Bumping this down to a 1 star for Android compatibility. I was able to plug the dongle in to my Android device and the controller seemed to be working well. After about 10 minutes or so the controller would turn off. At first I thought it was the battery and maybe my controller was faulty. I reached out to 8bitdo support and they recommended a firmware update for the controller and dongle which need to be done via PC. I did both the updates and was able to pair the controller on my PC using their pairing tool. After that I tried to connect the dongle to my Android device and it no longer connects to the dongle in D mode (which is the controller mode for Android) only X mode. Android is the main reason I bought this controller in the first place so I will most likely be returning if I can't get it working. Even still, it has wasted a lot of time trying to get it sorted out. And I'm out of ideas what to try, so waiting for their support to get back to me. Another beautiful controller from 8bitdo that works right out of the box. I'm running Batocera 35 on a micro PC and the latest version of Retropie on various Pis and each time the controller was detected in both cases. Using this in USB mode connects with no problem. It did take a little while for both the Pi and the PC to see the controller. But after a few tries, it finally took and mapped. I'm running this in D-input mode and it's detected every time. No lag and no ghost inputs. The controller feels great, has weight, and a rumble feature. Highly recommended and would buy again! ... show more
