I’ve had to replace 4 out of 8 in the year we’ve had our sprinter van. I bought another 8 for back up. The female receptor breaks easily on certain applications. Not sure if there’s any other options but to replace all the hardware.

Unfortunately there is not a lot to tell. When you open and close doors when the catch is made of a plastic type material, they have a tendancy to break after a while. The price was so much better than buying a single catch.
