May 2024 - Review of the 12" Hybrid Model In January of 2020 we purchased a new Beautyrest mattress and adjustable bedframe to the tune of over $1500. Fast forward 2 years and the mattress was already shot. But, we were in the middle of buying an old home and figured we'd wait to replace the mattress until we were done restoring the property. Fast foward to now, we were well past time to make an investment. But cost was a big factor. We figured, for the price, this mattress was a no-brainer. We can literally buy 5 of these instead of 1 of the lower cost "premium brands" sold at mattress stores that just don't hold up (oh, for the days of when mattresses truly lived up to their stated lifespan). It arrived one week BEFORE the expected delivery date (thanks, Amazon!) and we let it "fluff" for a week before swapping out the old with the new. It never hit the 12" mark, fluffing only to 11" even with repeated tugging around the edges and corners to help things along. We've only had one night on it, but it is MUCH better than our old one. As others' have written, it is not firm; I'd say it is medium tending toward firm. But it fits our adjustable frame perfectly and easily moves when we adjust things to sit up in bed. I will update this after more use but, for now, I can confidently state that for the money spent, we are pleased with our purchase. Now if only Amazon would take away the old mattress... :-) ... show more
