I'm going to say something, and you are not going to believe me. This Pyle PMXU83BT audio mixer, your computer, a few good mics, your instrument, your voice, some audio software, a pencil & paper, and a lover, and you can be The Beatles. I knew you wouldn't believe me. This is an amazing American product. It is an 8 channel studio mixer. It requires no knowledge of audio mixing. It will record your material without noise, without hassles, without a learning curve. One thing I am going to tell you. I am an audio engineer and though that I knew everything. I didn't read the instruction manual. Once you have it all set up and connected to your computer via the beautiful, one cable, all-purpose USB port, and the board lights up, there will be no sound. But the board is lit, and correctly wired to my computer. I finally read the manual for help.... Line 1) Turn the freaking thing on. Just because the board is lit does not mean it is on. It gets power from the computer AND the power cord, included. I was happy and ashamed at the same time. I got over it. Pyle USA is made in good old Brooklyn USA. As a decorated veteran, that makes a big difference to me. It's super light, yet heavy-duty, like a Sherman tank. It comes with plenty of groovy effects (reverb, echo, delay, etc.) built in. Yes, there's a send and return bus for external effects (there has to be - you're a pro engineer now, aren't you?), but, for the life of me, I haven't needed them yet. IT IS SUPER QUIET. That's how you tell a good board from a bad one. This is a broadcast-quality studio mixer. The only drawback is that it only carries 8 tracks at a time.     • Great for Experienced User's Just Okay for New User's

So, I purchased this product with the hopes of it being able to not only power my XLR Microphones but also being able to power my HE4XX by Massdrop headphones. While it did come close to powering both, it did not perform well in powering the headphones as there was a lot of distortion and a lot of white noise. However, this is not the job this device is intended to do. As a microphone platform, exclusively, this works fantastically. The product is able to maintain a solid level of sound quality and allows for on the fly, direct, EQ adjustments to the microphone. However, those adjustments can be a bit confusing if you are someone who has no experience in audio and are looking to get into, "this game," with no prior experience. It will allow for you to have something you can play around with and learn on though for relatively cheap, by comparison to other units. For an experienced user, I would recommend using something separate to power your headphones and run a line out to that amplifier to get the best sound quality as the headphone quality is severely lacking with any high power requirement headphones. Personally, I ended up retiring the Pyle mixing board and using my Scarlet 2i2 Digital Audio Interface in order to input my XLR mic as it has a bit of a better sound profile and allows for a much clearer and nicer listening experience while monitoring with a good pair of cans. Again, I would still recommend a secondary amplifier even with a Scarlet 2i2. All and all, this is a solid mixing board for the money as it is still half the price of a Scarlett 2i2 and it will do the job quite well. Especially if you are trying to get into XLR mics to do game streaming or to conduct interviews for school. This is certainly the mixing board for you. However if you are doing voice acting or if you are wanting to record music, I might recommend other products such as the Scarlett 2i2 or higher. ... show more
