The cord is long enough to extend as far as necessary. A little skill is necessary to splice the wires. In hind sight I could have tested the splicing box too. So far so good.

It was very nice and was good quality the only reason i sent it back was because the camper place told me I needed a 8 ft cable when I really needed a 10 ft I am going to see if this store offers a 10 ft and if so I will order it from them I wax very pleased with their product

The only concern is that apparently there is a visible difference in the way china and US wire is gauged. The #10 #12 wire in the product is smaller than 10AWG and 12AWG is in the US. So far seems to work OK.
