We have placed these solar fence lights on the slats of our fence. So nice to have some light in our backyard. Our dog likes to walk around the perimeter of our back yard and I believe she is safer with the light from these solar lights. They do look good and we are happy with the order.

    • Minimal light output after a week

These are mounted in full sun along our deck. They get 10+ hours of full sunlight during June. Although they worked fine the first couple of nights, the light output from all 6 has dimmed to almost nothing after a week.

    • Beware of the template

These solar fence lights are fine. At least during the summer, they charge fully and provide hours of a nice light that washes down my fence boards. One thing that separates these lights from other solar fence lights is that these offer many different color settings. This may be something that you are looking for, but, personally, I prefer just to set them to the warm white option and skip the colors. The worst feature of these lights is that the provided "template" is nowhere near accurate. It's like they printed the user manual with the included template and then decided to shrink the manual so it would fit better in the box. This obviously caused the template to shrink also. A shrunken template is a useless template. In my case, the lights were being installed on my fence, so the fact that the holes ended up too close together was not that important. But, if I had drilled holes in a wall and used the enclosed anchors to prepare for mounting the lights and then found that the holes were incorrect, I would have been very upset. Just create your own template and your installation will be a much more pleasant experience. The lights are fine, but the bad template means I cannot give this product anything but an average rating. There are lots of other choices in this category. Read some reviews and choose a higher rated product. ... show more

These aren't very large but I'm glad they aren't because I wanted something with a low profile for deck stairs. I like the simple and compact design. It is just one piece that you hang on screws, versus a back plate that you install and then hang the light on. I like the simplicity of unit being one piece. I also like that there are six lights as I have a lot of space to cover. I like the versatility of the different light options as well. These can be used as simple step lights, or for setting a mood. I will have to change each light by hand by pushing a button to scroll through the different options, but again, I like the simplicity of that; no remote, and it's not a complicated operation to change the light setting. ... show more
