  • Decent
It is a decent option for beginners, but it may not be the most durable choice in the long run. Assembling the chicken coop is relatively straightforward, as long as you carefully follow the provided directions, but I highly recommend watching the accompanying video tutorial on how to put it together. The visual guidance can make the process much smoother and alleviate any confusion that might arise from the written instructions alone. One of the main drawbacks of this chicken coop is its material quality. The materials used in its construction do not seem to be very sturdy. Unfortunately, after only a month of use, I noticed that the chickens broke the ladder. Considering that I have only three chickens that use it primarily for laying eggs, this early breakage is disappointing. ... show more

  • Great if you only have 1 or 2 chicks
This would be perfect for someone who only has 1-2 chicks. We started with 4 baby chicks and they soon outgrew it at 4 weeks. We added an addition to ours! But all around it’s a good deal

  • You get what you pay for
I liked the price. Great little starter coop for two chickens max. With that they'd still need to be let out to run. I live near the woods, so I will buy a bigger run to put them in. I don't think the hens would last one night in there with the coyotes. Soft wood easy to assemble. Like i said a starter coop. Ill be up grading to a better on later on down the road when the price of lumber goes down. ... show more

  • I think I got lucky compared to the other reviews
The media could not be loaded. I bought this despite the other reviews. Because of the reviews, I wasn't expecting much. I just liked the nesting box. While unboxing, I was checking each piece. Some were just scratched and dented. I had a piece on the nesting box that was loose.. The inside of a couple roof pieces had bubbles as if they were water damage. The wood is thin and soft. You can easily make your own holes because only some parts already have screw holes in them. Probably so there isn't any misalignment. I used a screw driver mostly bc I was scared to split the wood with the drill. For the last few screws I did use the drill because I was tired. So I did split one of the wood. The roofing is very crumbly. Just tapping it pebbles fall off. The hinges for the nesting box was a little off, but I made it work. The instructions were alright. It doesn't tell you which way the part needs to be, but it does tell you which screws to use. I used the video on here for help. It is too small for full grown chickens. But I plan on having a bigger run connected to it. I included pictures of the nesting box and inside since there wasn't any yet. ... show more

  • Two-inch gap and chicken coop
There was a two-inch gap between the nesting boxes in the main box and first night and killed three of my chickens.

  • Horrible customer service, horrible product, DON'T BUY
This product is no good. The set came with the wrong screws and many pieces were snapped, falling off, and broken. I fixed most pieces myself by placing new nails. Soon after, I notice the ladder for the chickens to climb is splintering off wood and pretty soon, my chicken got a splinter and infection. I water tested it once as my chickens are young and staying inside the coop indoors, and water went everywhere through the roof and into the coop. That same wood that got wet from the water test molded. The coop is not weatherproof, safe for chickens, and definitely not predator-proof. I contacted customer service as I now need to purchase a new coop that is safe for my chickens. They stated they would only give me 20$ back and eventually after lots of arguing agreed on 40$. This amount does not cover the cost of shipping that I paid or the damage done to my chickens. The person I contacted was rude and unhelpful. I said I would focus my review on the positives instead of the negatives if they righted their wrong but they didn't. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. STAY AWAY!! ... show more
