This is without a doubt the worst thing I have ever seen called a banjo. I didn’t expect much at the price. I expected to have to set it up from scratch but this is nothing but a poorly manufactured, incompetently assembled instrument imaginable.     • Very nice banjo.
I got this six string banjo about two or three weeks ago, I have been a guitar player since 1957 so I do have a lot of playing experience. I usually do not buy an instrument that I have not played but I thought this was a good buy and decided to go with it. Turns out I have some kind of issue with my fingers where there is tingling in all my fingertips and this is killing my guitar playing and my ability to type. As for the banjo though, it came as promised and was a beautiful instrument. I did have to tighten the strings to bring it up to pitch but that is no big deal. It was packaged nicely and had tools with it. The finish was beautiful and the sound was decent, I am not exactly sure what I was expecting but it worked well. To make a long story short Amazon did everything right. The banjo came as ordered, it was a good instrument and the return went seamlessly. If it were possible for me to work this out I would have surely kept it. I have a diamond file luthier kit and experience with cheap guitars so it was no surprise to me that the frets were sharp, however, it did take a half hour to get them smooth, and most players don't repair their own instruments, less newbies. I must say the rest of it is strong and beautiful. It resonates loud! It tunes like a guitar but should be picked on one string at a time to really sound like a banjo. Theres a reason this is so significantly cheaper than any similar instrument. The sound is really bad. The bridge arrived way too low. My buddy moved it up a bit and it sort of helped a little but the low E string is still almost unplayable. If you want a nice wall decoration its worth the money but otherwise Id suggest you save some more money. ... show more

    • Cheap enough to be a fun toy
Bought it to see if I want a good one. It's cheap enough and if I get it set up to play properly ( intonation, action, etc.) It may be a fun little thing to have. The neck is a thick "c" style and that's kinda weird for me but it does have a good sound.

The description on the main ad says accessories are included that didn’t come with the banjo. No strap with buckle. Only the wrench set. The banjo itself is a good banjo.
