Oh, the junk drawer, bane of my existence. It's a mystery of the ages how every family member knows exactly where to find [whatever], but they are utterly incapable of putting it back in the same place... it all ends up in the junk drawer. I clean it out at least quarterly, putting things in their real homes, throwing away loose bits of paper and wrappers, and reorganizing what actually does/should live there. Obviously, plastic zip bags isn't working. Enter this 6 Pack Large Clear Plastic Drawer Organizer Trays. There are two each of three sizes. They are made from a sturdy acrylic and have straight sides (is it just me who despises sloped-sided organizing containers? ugh!) and small holes in the bottoms (I'm guessing they're to keep dust or crumbs from settling in the bins?). They come with a sheet of non-skid pads to attach to the bottoms, but I skipped that for my junk drawer use. My drawer could only fit 5 of the bins, but I have a plan for the 6th upstairs in my craft room. I love these bins and plan to purchase a larger set (currently, they are available in 6-, 17-, 25-, and 30-pack sizes. The bathroom vanity drawers will get a set, and I'll give a set to the hubs with a plea for him to organize his bolts and screws. ... show more

Be aware that -- though listed on Amazon as "6 Pack Large Clear Plastic Drawer Organizer Trays" -- in reality this is a set consisting of 2 large (6 x 12"), 2 medium (6 x 9") and 2 small (6 x 3") trays. They are made of high-grade clear plastic that won't easily break and come with a "Hassle-Free Warranty" which doesn't specify the length of time from purchase it will be honored. Also included is a peel-off sheet of 25 stick-on silicone feet (4 per tray required, leaving 1 extra). You have to attach these yourself, something I would not expect to see in a $19 storage set. I'm using the organizers for holding a variety of things: hardware, electrical adapters, USB charging cords, clothespins, condiment packets, etc. The seller states the trays are made with PET plastic, so they should be safe for foods. At 2" in height, the organizers fit inside almost any drawer; of course they can also be used in other places. ... show more

    • I don't just use them for office storage

I am a prolific paper crafter (hello, junk journals!), so I am always looking for simple storage solutions for the various bits of ephemera and bits & bobs that I use. These little containers turned out to be a perfect dual-purpose solution for my crafting office. I used half of them in my actual desk drawers to organize my basic office supplies. The little rubber feet that these come with definitely DO help keep them in place in larger drawers - this is a huge benefit. I used the other half for storing my ephemera, and it's equally as perfect for that. Because it's clear, I can easily see which container I need to grab (depending on what types of ephemera I put in each container). I use a Dymo label maker and the labels stick perfectly fine to these as well. If you've shopped for acrylic storage units, you know that they can be very expensive. These are fairly priced for what they are, one of the less expensive options I've seen. I definitely recommend for any kind of storage! ... show more
