    • Hard to build
I like the product but I have some cons.....its hard to build even for a person that is handy with tools amd instructionsare not clear. The materials are made of steel but wear gloves or it will cut you. This is steel so make sure you have good shade or it will cook your chickens. I would have liked for the egg catching unit to be padded to avoid cracking of eggs, I will be adding shelf liner to this area to avoid this. Other than that the materials are strong and it looks like it will hold up for a long time. ... show more

    • Terrible instructions, doesn't assemble properly
This product is heavy and comes with one small sheet of vague instructions and a large bag of assorted hardware. After an hour of assembly it the other parts wouldn't connect because the holes were in the wrong spot. Amazon wants you to disassemble and put the item back in its original packaging to return it. ... show more

I never know what to expect... but this showed up very fast, in another box. This is heavy. Watch the video on the product. this takes time for full assembly and proper placement for your chickens and the access of the eggs that come into the chute. So far, I have some planning to do and schedule some time, but this is a solid unit. This will last as long as the extra time you put into it for - maybe adding loctite and such so there is no parts falling off if you do not take the time to properly tighten. Just for what I have seen... I like the workmanship and quality for the price. Especially if you have prices the alternatives, this is a great value. ... show more

    • Considering the new incredible cost of eggs
Considering the incredible cost of eggs and the health benefits of knowing what the hens have been fed and the freshness of the eggs, we have decided to keep chickens. To that end we’ve acquired this handsome and sturdy nesting unit. Took awhile to assemble it but it was easy and pretty straightforward. The end result was well worth the invested time. It’s made of galvanized steel which I think will insure a long life. I got our favorite carpenter to build a nicely sized coop and enclosed pen with this clever unit mounted on the wall inside.- It has feet so it could also be free standing. It has a slight tilt so the eggs roll forward under a hinged cover (very clever) I think this is going to be very wise choice. Comes with all the needed hardware.
