My partner and I absolutely LOVE this king sized mattress! It is vacuumed packed and in a box when received and has an outer layer of plastic that encloses the vacuumed packed mattress. As other review said, open mattress on top of platform frame because it is heavy. It fluffed up in a few hours but it did have a smell to it so we followed the instructions and left it untouched for 72 hours. As others have said, it is firm! And we love it! No more back aches! No more side-sleeping him aches! Not as cuddly when sleeping on the back as a softer mattress, but a topper will easily fix that! When looking at mattresses at a physical store previously, the sales person told us that if the memory foam mattress is too firm then you want to walk all over it until it softens up! We are not going to do this because we like the firmness but if you find yourself feeling like it is too firm, this solution makes sense to me because the memory foam does break down. Another thing I appreciate about the mattress is that the outer cover fits the mattress without the sewn creases in the wrong place. It looks perfect. As for the coolness factor... I don't think any mattress out there is cool enough for me. It does seem cooler than my previous mattress which was a hybrid, so maybe this one is cool. RECOMMEND! ... show more

Size: Queen Style: 12" - Cooling Gel
Its Nov 21st 2024 I bought in August so have had for 3 months. Can't review longevity, but can say this much. Nice and supportive inflation was fine. No issues on that end. I will say this is definitely not a medium firm but definitely extra firm. I have used firm for many years. This is no medium firm, there is no give on this mattress. I weight 180lbs and 5'6" i should have very little give. This one was none. I definitely reccomended a topper with this mattress. I have 3 in memory foam toppper and it works great. I slept with and without it aftet arrival. 1 night was ok, but after that I started to have lots of pain everywhere. Especially back. So with the topper first night into next day so much better lol No more pain! So the mattress supports just fine. But direct lay is like a slab of cement under me. Needed to cushioning. This was the first time I've ordered a mattress in a box. I usually get them from a store where I can see/feel them, but an expensive mattress and box spring wasn't in my budget right now. The mattress arrived on time, was well packaged, and was easy to get in place. It's not too heavy, just bulky and awkward to maneuver. I'm 5'3" and 65 yrs old and got it inside and upstairs by myself. There was no smell, and it reached the full height in about 36 hours. I was worried that it might be too soft, but the mattress is really comfortable. It has just the right amount of firmness that I don't have pressure points on my hips and shoulders like my old gel foam mattress, which makes for pain free mornings. I can't speak to the cooling layer, as it has been very cold at night here, but it doesn't seem to be as warm as my old mattress. The fit is perfect for my full size platform bed and it doesn't move around. I would definitely purchase this mattress again. ... show more
