I can hardly contain my excitement about the Altura Photo lens attachment! It's like wielding a magic wand that instantly broadens your photographic horizons. The attachment process is a breeze; it effortlessly screws onto the front of your lens, granting you access to breathtaking wide-angle photography. What's more, the detachable macro lens is a hidden gem for capturing intricate close-ups of tiny subjects. Essentially, it's like owning two remarkable lenses rolled into one. The compatibility of this attachment is jaw-dropping. It fits my Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR lens like a glove and harmonizes flawlessly with various other 55MM lens models from different brands. Altura Photo has truly considered every angle. This attachment has revolutionized my photography. Be it landscapes, architecture, or intimate encounters with nature, the results are nothing short of spectacular. The widened perspective injects a whole new dimension into my shots, making them utterly captivating. I'm particularly grateful for Altura Photo's meticulous attention to compatibility details. Their guide on verifying your camera's lens thread size was incredibly insightful and saved me from ordering the wrong attachment. • Great attachment at 22mm+
Size: 49MM
On a R100 it works great at 22mm+, although if you zoom out you’ll see a vignette. The vignette can look great as a stylistic approach! Great value for the price!

  • Price matches value
Size: 58MM
It is a good lens and the price reflected the value. I was expecting more, such as ability to mount on more than one lens, but it works and gives decent quality photos.

  • Great Buy! Great Price
Size: 58MM
This item was a great buy for the price. It is solid metal and comes in a nice carrying case. The macro extension is great for getting up close and personal but with having less depth of field than a macro lens or extension tubes, which may come in very helpful depending on how close you are actually wanting to get to the subject. The fisheye is also a great accessory. It does not extend as wide as an acctual fisheye lens, but for the price works remarkable well. I am a photographer on a budget and I would recommend this to anyone for the price. The only two cons that i have found are one, the way to attach the macro/fisheye is a little harsh and can shave the inside of your lens ring a little, not enough to do any damage or to even really notice if you are a stickler for details like I am. But the image quality was top notch. And the second con I found was that you can not use the fisheye without the macro extension. Again not a big deal because both work well, just a con I have found about it. ... show more

  • Not for video.
Size: 58MM
This may be ok for still photography but it's not, in my opinion, suitable for video. You get light artifacts and the camera has a hard time staying in focus over distance with this lens attachment. Also I just wanted a basic wide angle and this adds an annoying fisheye effect. Also when zoomed all the way out you see the edge of the lens ring. As I needed to be zoomed all the way out to capture the stage I was shooting this made the lens adapter all but useless for my needs. That said it is well constructed and sturdy and some may find a good use for it (hence the three stars). It's just not for me and I had to return it. ... show more

  • No replacement for a proper wide angle lens.
Size: 58MM
Firstly, my comment reflects the product, not the seller. Digital Goja is an A+ retailer and I'd give them my business again without hesitation. My issue is with the Altura product. The product felt sturdy enough. Didn't feel cheap or fragile in hand. On the camera, it definitely added some weight to the front of my camera which wasn't particularly great. If they product had worked as described, I wouldn't have minded so much. But it didn't meet expectations/hopes and here's why: 1. BLUR. Fisheye lenses by nature cause blurring and distortion around the edges of the frame. And even though this isn't a true fisheye adapter, it had that blur and distortion. However, the blur didn't stop there. EVERY image I took with it turned out fuzzy and unusable. THE WHOLE IMAGE. Not just the edges. A total lack of clarity. 2. The weight. As mentioned, it has some heft to this. Though I don't believe it caused any damage to my lens during my test shoot, I must CAUTION that prolonged usage of this product may add unnecessary wear and tear to your camera lens. Especially the auto-focus motor. 3. The fisheye distortion is neither here nor there. It's too soft to add anything special to shots taken yet too prominent to ignore. Most photos (those that were slightly more in focus and others) looked awkward because of this. 4. The macro aspect worked better than the wide angle but only marginally. Though the magnification is impressive, there was still blurring and softness even in the focused areas of my shots. I took a chance despite advice otherwise to try this product and see if it could meet my needs considering it's a great deal less expensive than a proper camera lens. I wanted to like it but the product sent to me was unusable. D. Goja took the product back without hassle as per their great customer service standards. I have an Altura Photo flash unit and it works really well for the money. In future though, I'll have to be more careful about buying their products. Bottom line: Save up and buy yourself a proper wide angle lens. You'll be glad you did. There is no viable alternative. Especially not in this price range. ... show more
