Great bike for our 8yo who absolutely LOVES riding this bike all over the neighborhood. It's not a quiet bike if it's what you're looking for. Our son has an electric bike that he's worn the piss out of, and it was time for a lot more power. This has needed a bit of work right from the start, so I wouldn't recommend anyone without knowledge of working on bikes to purchase this item, because I guarantee you'll have a very difficult time knowing what you need to do when something doesn't seem right or you can't get it going. It's only the first week, and we've run into a handful of tweaks that have to be done to get it back up and running again. All easy, but you gotta know what you're doing. Luckily for us, my son's father grew up racing bikes and hasn't had an issue he couldn't figure out. If it were me, even though I know a thing or two about a thing or two, I'd have already pulled my hair out and sent it back. Don't let that discourage you if you know what you're doing though because my son's dad says "overall it is a fantastic bike for our sons (first) dirt bike". I also thought I should note that a few parts were missing from the get go as well as punctured decals and some of the already put together parts weren't on right with one of them being backwards and make sure to double check that everything is attached correctly and secure being that at one point the exhaust pipe was just about to fall off had my son taken off on it again. We caught it just in time, but that was another one of those already assembled pieces that you wouldn't think of double checking thinking that the people who put it together should know what they are doing and not expect everyone who buys a kids dirt bike to have to be a mechanic or right out the gate. ... show more

    • Good starter bike - chain falls off repeatedly
This is a great starter bike. My 9 yo bought this with money he saved for a couple of years. We can't keep the chain on, though. It started popping off (even after tightening) within the first 2 days of riding. I'm just going to need to buy a new chain assembly. He's so frustrated with it that he wants to return it. I think with a new chain it will work just fine for him. ... show more

    • Plastic front shock tubes...
Plastic front shock tubes are not real shocks.They are just plastic tubes with Springs.In them it handles dangerously at high speeds. It has enough power but the header pipe broke within the first month.
