This 4540 CNC is a decent entry level CNC (and a good value when it’s on sale). Assembly went okay but the pictures and parts could have been labeled better. The only issue I had was that the -X axis limit switch was damaged. I saw this same problem in a review of another 4540 CNC clone. I contacted the seller and sent them a photo of the damaged part. They were quick to respond that they would send a replacement part from China and it would take at least 2 weeks. Received the limit switch 18 days later. They also sent an extra switch because there are two different switch orientations. The CNC was still usable with the broken limit switch. I’ve included a photo of the dragon file they included with the cnc. This was cut from a 2x4 scrap using the included bits. ... show more

    • Worst machine in the business
The machine failed after only three months of use. Tried contacting company for replacement parts but they don't have a parts department. Choose wisely!

    • still not working correctly
Good price. The hardware isn't bad. However, after weeks of working on it, there are still two huge issues. And there is no good way to reach out to mysweety. They ask you to reach out via facebook, but that hasn't produced any results. The first issue is that the offline controller isn't working. It powers up but doesn't have anything on the screen. The second issue is that the feed rate and spindle speed will not change. I have used both easel and the supplied candle software. Making changes in the software does not effect the speed of the machine. This is especially concerning for the feed rate, which is way too fast. If there was an easy way to contact mysweety to troubleshoot these issues, then i would say to go ahead and order. Afterall, issues do pop up occasionally. But if there is no way to fix issues like this, then i can't recommend purchasing this machine. Even if the chance of there being an issue is low, it is just not worth the risk. Make sure you purchase a machine that has a way to troubleshoot any potential issues. ... show more

    • Z axis stopped working
After spending my morning setting this thing up and learning how to use it, I go and run a job. It seemed to work fine. However after the first job, the Z Axis stopped working. X and Y still work and make a noise when I try to run the Z. I have no idea what the issue is. Giving it 2 stars because the milling was good and 1 star because the setup was OK. But have to dock for the immediate failure. EDIT: MYSWEETY has offered to send me a new controller board. They have courteous and prompt customer service. Parts ship from China and can take a few weeks to get to the states. Hopefully sooner. I'll update once it's back up and running. ... show more

    • Cheaply made - DO NOT BUY
I bought this CNC router to tackle some projects that I've been wanted to work on for while. Mainly wood and acrylic pieces. This machine came with several missing parts, missing screws and the one of the extrusion arms was slightly bent. It's a very basic design, but lacks some very important features. Folks that want to begin with CNC should get a starter kit, but not this one. I am going to keep the spindle, but everything else is garbage! There are much better options out there.
