  • great little machine for beginners BUT.....
UPDATE: removing a star, the more I use it the looser the Z axis gets. Now has a lot of wobble not just up and down like it did new but side to side, the bearings and rods seem to have developed this. I am now designing new brackets and carriage to use linear rails and a ball screw, that should firm everything up. Also only using 3 bars for the spoilboard does not do it, the mdf likes to bow even with having faced it. I'll be adding 2 more 2020 bars to it to remedy this. IF you buy this expect to have to do "upgrades" soon after getting it together. the z axis has a bit of play in it that causes issues at times, working on a fix for this. Even though the machine comes mostly assembled you are going to want to place it on a flat surface and loosen EVERY screw and make sure it is all square. mine was so far out of square on foot was a solid 1/8 off the table. No documentation for the controller board is available, but with a little playing around it can be flashed with the arduino IDE set as an adruino pro, so I was able to make a few firmware tweaks and flash to the latest version of GRBL. But With a little bit of setup this is a really good machine. Now with the negatives out of the way lets say something good. For the price the machine is solid metal construction, no acrylic plates like others of similar price. the 500w motor is a great upgrade from the 300w that others also come with. For the cost I expected some issues needing to be addressed, but I did not expect it to be as solid as it is! ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!! MAJOR BREAKDOWN EVERY 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this unit because of it having both the CNC Spindle and a Laser. Upon arrival I assembled the machine and began to use the CNC feature. I carved about a dozen different items while learning to use it. Then I switched to the laser. I ran it for about 2 weeks and it work great. Then I switched back to the spindle and this is where I ran into a ton of issues. After the switch, it would only want to carve half the size I programmed. Then it just locked up all together. With the power off the gantry will move on all axis by hand. Under power it will not move at all, not even by hand. I have even tried going back to Lightburn and using it to try and move the gantry, no luck. It appears as though the board is fried or the program is corrupted. I have not even had this unit for two months yet. I first had a bad laser shipped with the unit. Titoe shipped me a new one and it worked perfectly. But with the issue I am having now the machine is totally inoperable. It is nothing more than an expensive paperweight the way it sits at the moment. This means I am going to have to throw more money into it to get it to work if Titoe does not make this right. A new controller will have to be purchased. As it stands I cannot recommend purchasing this item. UPDATE: Here I am 7 months since the having the same issue I am having now. The machine is locked up when powered on. When I try to run a job, the spindle comes on, but the gantry will not move. It is locked in place while under power. It seems as though the programming in the controller is corrupted. I am not able to make it move on its own regardless of what I do. I was in the middle of surfacing a piece of wood for my next project. The spindle kept turning but stopped moving. I cannot seem to get the machine to preform even basic movements. I honestly regret buying this machine. I should have bought a Longmill. **************UPDATE June 2, 2024************************* Titoe sent another motherboard for the machine. I installed it and the machine ran for about 20 minute then quit. It will not home, it will not start the spindle, it will not move when command is pressed, it will not do anything. I checked and double checked to ensure all connections were well made, still nothing. This CNC machine seems to have an issue with the motherboard failing. I am glad I bought the four year warranty because I am going to return this piece of junk and purchase something American or Canadian made. Maybe I can get better customer service. I have been without a properly working CNC for over a month now and I purchased it 9 months ago. This machine is total junk and I would not recommend purchasing it. You will just be causing yourself a lot of headaches and a lot of money. I have $620 invested in just the CNC and Laser attachment. Not to mention all the bits, laser honeycomb, laser glasses, bits, and programming totaling around $1000, for a machine that is nothing more than a paperweight. UPDATE 6/3/24 Turns out Amazon refunded my insurance less than a month after I purchased it. This is after I was told the insurance would stay valid after having to buy another identical machine to swap parts. The manufacturer was out on an extended holiday, and I needed the machine. Amazon suggested I buy a new machine and swap parts. I did so and returned the new machine with the bad controller. I was assured the insurance policy would stay in place. I was lied to!!!!!! To top it off the manufacturer will not make this right either. I have barely gotten to use this machine and it is now nothing but an expensive paper weight!!!!!!!!! JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

  • Titoe CNC ROUTER
It’s a good enough size to make many things. If you buy the 3018 machine it cuts great but small. The 4540 gives you extra cutting room, 500 watts, and I got it cheaper. Got to throw in, fast delivery in the middle of the Christmas buying frenzy. The price of this machine was very good. It is fast enough for me and cuts great. Actually pretty fast. I’ve had a few of these type machines but I think I like this one better. ... show more

  • Addendum to Previous Rating The router bit DOES run "true" in the collet spindle.
Your recent instruction on how to install the collet has helped me! The collet should be seated in the collet nut securely . Then the nut can be started on the threads, then put the cutter into the collet and tighten. This does the trick.! Walter Dugas

  • No Customer Support
I have the 4240 and used it roughly 4 hours before the laser module died. I have been trying to contact xiaohua2018815@outlook.com for over 3 weeks now and have received no response. They say will respond with in 24 hours but haven't as of today. Can't leave a review on the product itself because Amazon took it down and the only option I have is to return. It's to bad because it worked well for the time I used it. I did borrow another laser module and got it working again so I know where the problem is but can not get a reply back from xiaohua2018815@outlook.com. As I said not a bad little machine but no support you will be on your own. ... show more
