I have to admit some of the reviews made me not want to buy this water bottle. I had been wanting a water tracker bottle for a while now as I really need to increase and/or stay on track with hydration. A lot of these reviews have a lot to do with the quality and durability of the bottle and the printing on the bottle. If people would just read the care instructions this bottle will last you. HAND WASH the bottle only! Things I LOVE about this bottle, the ice guard, nothing is more infuriating than getting ice when your working out and just want ice cold water. I also love the quality and durability. The letters AREN'T a decal they’re printed on raised letters in the plastic. 10/10 for me! ... show more

I bought 4 of these with different designs on them. It cost $60 they are cute but they have a terrible odor to them even after being washed and dried thoroughly and sitting with the lid off for a few days. Once I received them there was an insert inside each bottle saying to wash them before use and to store them without the lid on them. My question is what is that smell and why isn't it going away? The bottles say they are BPA free but graded a #7 plastic which is code for BPA and now I'm afraid I'll be poisoning my family by using them. The odor is coming from the inside of the clean bottles. #7 plastics have a danger of seeping toxins into whatever is in them according to the plastic by number scale. Is that what I'm smelling the toxins????? I bought these in order to buy a safe product made in the USA. I was searching everywhere for water bottles not made in China and found 50strong but now I question the safety of this product. ... show more

I hand washed my bottle as soon as I received it, and the lettering peeled off !! Very disappointed. I am 9 months pregnant and was super excited to get this bottle, and then everything Peeled off from hand washing it !? Very sad.

The water bottle itself is super cute! I like that the lid feels like a good secure screw on and it snaps closed securely. I was looking for something cute to help me keep up with my daily water intake and this does just that. What I worry about is longevity this is absolutely HAND WASH ONLY and even then I would wash gently. Water is the only thing going in this cup. The plastic feels OK enough quality to me but I can totally see the decal peeling as other reviews mentioned. 4 stars...maybe 4 1/2. I can't give it 5 because I am just not sold that this decal is going to stay for long. I'm going to do my best though! ... show more

This bottle is adorable. I get lots of compliments on it and it really does help me keep on track with water-- I'm drinking two of these full bottles a day, which is roughly six times as much water as I was drinking before. But there's one thing I really hate and that's the shape of the bottle. There's a little shoulder at the top of the bottle, which allows the top to screw on and not overhang the bottle. It's a great streamlined look. Meanwhile, the shoulder means I can never fully dry the bottle. If I turn it upside down in a rack, water collects on the shoulder instead of draining out. If I leave it upright, water stays at the bottom (of course). The opening isn't large enough to fit my hand in there to dry the bottle. It's very frustrating because now I'm never really sure if it's 100% clean or if I'm just constantly diluting the last few drops of old water. I was disappointed in these right out of the box. There are lines across the designs like when your printer is running out of ink, but I decided to just live with it so I could have a water bottle. BUT NO!!! These water bottles (also bought a 24 oz. shark one) create a SUPER STRONG plastic/rubber smell after a measly two or three hours, and my water tastes like plastic even if I pour it out of the bottle and into another container to drink, so I know it's not just the smell of the bottle - it's actually IN the water after the water sits in the bottle for TWO HOURS. Got one for myself and one for my preschooler. I'm not happy with the amount of chemical/plastic leaching happening in what is supposed to be a BPA-free product, and I'm certainly not comfortable with my kid drinking plastic water. ... show more

Honestly, it sounded cute, and easy going. But the reviews that mention this weird smell is true and I've had my water bottle for about a week. Handwashing and it's still this stagnant weird odor. I know you can dish wash it so I ended up just buying a regular water bottle from Walmart with no design. The ice gaurd is cool, I enjoyed that, but any ice that goes into it doesn't stay long enough for it to be needed. Lid constantly needed to be tightened. The cactus design is really the main thing I enjoyed about this water bottle. Even then, I'm contemplating risking losing it to dishwasher the odor or throw it away.
