These mats took me some getting used to. I previously had cutting boards but, had trouble storing them, due to kitchen space. These mats are light weight, and easy to store. I only used them a few times and they are easy to wash. Also, they were bigger then I was expecting so, I like the size. The color coding and the little image( apple, lettuce, meat...etc.) of what the mat is intended for also helpful. I have to say it's not slip resistant when cutting a bigger piece of meat, it tends to slide around a bit. As for small things like fruit and veggies, it works well. ... show more

I’ve had these for a couple of weeks and have used them every day. I’ve washed them in the dishwasher every day without any problems whatsoever. I do love the flexibility they provide in the kitchen in terms of providing convenient surfaces for a wide variety of uses instead of dirtying up plates or bulkier boards. For example, whether air frying chicken or pan frying steaks, I like to set the meat out for a bit to get it to room temperature first. These plastic boards are fantastic surfaces for such a purpose. The one caveat I learned is that the boards absolutely do not like serrated knives. Knives such as steak knives will scour and score the surface immediately. Of course, a serrated steak knife will do the same to a wooden cutting board as well, but I’m less comfortable regularly placing food on scoured up plastic, even if it is BPA free. So I now stick to using non-serrated chef knives, paring knives, and similar without any problems so far. Anyway, I really love the convenience of these and the price is certainly reasonable. Like these because you can put the others up in a cabinet and use one for chopping for about 8 to 10 weeks and then recycle it, take down the next and start over. Also very easy cleanup.
