Generic pump and the fuel line outlet doesn’t line up with the pre-existing fuel line on my 1987 mercruiser 454. It may be fine on a newer application. I bought the mercruiser pump using my engine vin number and the pump came as a kit with a different ridgid fuel line .So just be aware of that if yours is older. ... show more

    • Terrible product, a real safety concern!

We replaced both fuel pumps on our 40 foot express cruiser out of maintenance. One pump failed after 10 hrs in the middle of Buzzards Bay on a rough day. We were very lucky to make it back on one engine. Replaced it with a Quicksilver pump they only had one in stock. The second pump failed 2 hrs later entering a very busy harbor on Martha’s Vineyard. We had to have one sent over. Selling this product is irresponsible and dangerous for boaters. I guess that’s why they only guarantee them 30 days! ... show more

The pump failed the day before the return window closed. I would not recommend this poorly made product. It was installed and we used the boat twice. On the second time is when the pump failed.
