I have a 75 gallon rain barrel and the spigot has completely rusted and is no longer usable. I had to get the water out and can't just tip it over, so I ordered this hand pump. I was able to pump most of the water out so I could easily dump the rest and rinse it out well. It says 8 gallons per minute, but I wasn't able to get that much out of it. Maybe if I had the strength to continuously turn the handle at a high rate of speed, but 75 gallons takes a lot of turning and is quite tiresome. It's very lightweight and plenty sturdy to handle pumping from the barrel regularly, so I will continue using this rather than replacing the bottom spigot on the barrel which isn't convenient for filling 5 gallon buckets. Very happy with it and would definitely recommend this unit. ... show more
