Arrived on time and packaged well. Installed on a 2018 CRV LX AWD. I pulled up a youtube video of someone installing the same or similar rack and it was very helpful. I installed in about 1 hour and barely referenced the directions. I feel the directions were pretty thorough though. It feels sturdy and solid with multiple mount points. I will be using it for ski's/snowboards and occasional kayaks. I may get a large plastic container too, who knows. If for some reason I have some issues with using it or with the quality of it going forward, I will update this post. ... show more

I like that the Cross Bars seem very sturdy. Also, the silver finish is a very close match to the Lunar Silver color of my CRV. As many have noted, the assembly/installation instructions are not complete, but not hard to figure out. Also, I did not like that the plastic screw covers would not snap in place using the provided screws. The provided screws had heads that were just too thick for the covers to fit properly. So, I made a trip to the local hardware store and purchased eight M6 screws (with thinner heads) and used them to attach the cross bars to the cross bar feet. The plastic covers then snapped in easily. I know the plastic covers are purely cosmetic, but it looks much better with them than without. ... show more

Great Product for less than OEM cost. I was very nervous with this after reading the reviews. We took our time to read the instructions in full before installing. The install went well and they look great! I’m glad we went with Black for the car instead of silver.

This was exactly as advertised. It looks good and feels solid. Easy installation. Don’t understand the confusion some had. I problems at all. Just take your time measuring and cutting.

The parts came in good condition and the assembled product feels sturdy, but the fit of the rails seems sloppy… noticeable gaps at the front and back. Will add pictures soon

Factory rails and cross bars were almost $400 which was definitely out of budget and definitely over priced. This fit pretty well and took about 3-4hrs to install since I had to cut weather stripping. My only complaint is that on the ends there are some small gaps between the frame and the rail ends. I carried 2 kayak (42lb & 55lb) several times with no issue at all. Longest trip was 120miles and at speeds up to 65mph. ... show more

    • Sturdy but there are install issues
Color: Cross Bars (Black)
These crossbars are designed to fit Honda dealer installed rails. First step in instructions is remove plastic hole covers. The covers have small torx holes but the covers tended to spin and not come out until I used a small extractor to get them out. They provide Torx bolts to install the crossbar brackets to the rails. Additionally they provide 8 hex head bolts that they do not explain and 4 plastic inserts that fit under/inside the mounting brackets. I think the hex head bolts are to lock the crossbars at the right length into the mounting brackets (because the crossbars rattle when they have no load if they are not secured into he brackets). I say I think these bolts are to secure the crossbars to the brackets because something is needed, but these bolts are too long. After step 2 of their instructions you need to mark the right crossbar length then take the crossbars back off the car, turn the crossbars upside down and use proper length bolts to secure the crossbars to the mounting brackets at the right length and install the provided plastic inserts to the mounting brackets and then mount the brackets as in step 3. Repeat for step 4. ... show more

This product is almost exactly like the own version for quite a bit less. Just make sure to watch the plastic seal, just have to make sure it is seated correctly before tightening rail pieces
