This camera is a nice starter camera for beginning photographers and cinematopgrahers. After sliding in an SD card it will offer to format the card for you so it is ready for use. The camera is 4K and will give you decent quality for the price. The external microphone gets decent audio (better than the built in one) and offers a few options for capturing audio. The handle attachment makes it easy to go very mobile or get lower angled shots that look awesome. It also has a cool looking lens system attachment. The remote is nice for well, remote operation of the camera, zooming in, recording, etc. The fact that the camera can plug into a TV makes it say to play video on a system via HDMI that lacks an SD input. Also, the USB port allows the camera to act as a high quality external web camera when it is plugged into a computer. Some computers only have a 720p camera and this will upgrade that setup significantly. Lighting also looks better when it lower light scenarios. My only main complaints about this camera is the zoom is all digital and not manual. If you zoom while recording, it will act jerky as there is no smooth zoom setting that I’ve found. I will use the camera primarily as a wide shot backup camera for b-roll shots so it will serve a purpose without breaking the bank. And I can have a decent web camera when not on shoots, which is nice. ... show more

This is a great camcorder with a number of features one would expect in a higher priced camera. I really enjoy how easy it is to use. It has a range of resolutions from 4K 60FPS down to 720 30FPS. (I personally record at 1080P 60FPS for the ease of uploading my videos on YouTube.) It has a built in speaker which is fine for short clips taken in the house, but it also has a plug in speaker for crystal clear sound. I like to set it up on my tripod and then I can start and stop the video feature with the remote. The remote can access and control all video and photo actions at long distance. (The camcorder can be turned off by remote, but can only be turned on by opening the screen or pushing the on button on the side. There is an app available that allows one to use a smartphone as a remote.) There is a Mode button, on the camcorder and remote, which accesses a menu screen that allows four types of video selections (normal, slow speed, loop record and time lapsed recording) and four types of camera selections (normal photo, auto picture, multi-picture and timed shot). Videos are recorded in .mp4 files and the still photos are taken in .jpg files. I have timed the batteries and they last 1 ½ hours each. ... show more

    • Directions not very helpful
For the price, this is a nice little package, with everything I needed to start shooting video. The problem I have run into is adaptability. I also purchased a wireless mic to use with this camera, and for the life of me, i can't get the two to work together. I know the input jack works, because the sound quality is good (not great, but good), with the included microphone. The touchscreen is a bit oversensitive, which left me turning on/off options when i was trying to scroll through the options. The users manual was not very comprehensive, which left me scrolling through the various settings and trying to figure them out. Message sent to the manufacturer to see if anything can be done. I confirmed the wireless mic set I purchased does work - these two items just don't work together. Very frustrating for what I have planned. Will update when i hear back. UPDATE - Well. Been 3 days and still no response from the manufacturer. Reduced from 3 stars to 1. It works, It works well after fumbling through things to figure out the controls. But the lack of response from the manufacturer kills all of this. They sell a product but appear to not want to support it. ... show more

It says 48MP all over the camera and the listing, but this camera only has a 13MP sensor. That's still enough for basic 4K I think? The HDMI output always has icons and statuses on it, and it doesn’t appear capable of the higher resolutions it can record. The instructions are ... Meh.

I bought this camera to take videos of investment properties. I am very impressed with the camera, from the affordable price, to the easy to use and set up. The picture quality is great and the night vision takes great videos at night. Love this camcorder!!!
