I bought this for my mother in law who loves gardening. She wanted to be able to take pictures and videos of her flowers herself, but she is not very tech savvy. She refuses to even try a smart phone. I considered getting her a children's camera before I found this one. It is so user friendly that anyone could use it. This is a great 4K camera for the price. The picture quality is superb. The image is pretty crisp. I have it plugged into a capture card so I can do some streaming for a video conference camera. The external mic has great pickup and the audio sounds pretty good. Better than my laptop. Being a directional mic helps isolate the sound better. Make sure to pick up a memory card because it doesn't come with one if you're going to be recording video. It comes with 2 batteries, but since I'm using it as a stationary camera, it's a welcome backup in case. I appreciate the external charger. It's can start as a WiFi access point so it can be controlled on the phone as an extra remote as well. I'd recommend this camera for someone's first camera to get started with vlogging. ... show more

The video and sound quality are great. Bought to use for my YouTube channel and mic works great from feet away. Remote helps control the video and photos from away from the camera so I don't have to edit much as far as editing me walking up to the camera to cut it off or restart it. I am comparing the video quality to an iPhone 8 plus that can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second and the quality on the iPhone is at least four times better than this camera. The quality of this camera is closer to 720 P. There is no way that this is 4K quality. Video quality was blurry and audio quality was muffled. I was going to use this camera for my children’s YouTube channel, and when they tried to zoom in on the different Legos and toys, the camera could not find focus. The image is also very grainy and lacking all color and saturation. I would recommend that you just buy a used iPhone 8 for the same price as this camera and experience a greater video quality and true 4K 60FPS. I don’t care how many accessories they toss in with this camera. If the video quality sucks it doesn’t matter what they provide with it. I don’t care if there is a touchscreen or if there’s a microphone or a light. If the video quality is horrendous, then none of that extra accessories matters. I would say the same thing goes for all these very cheap 4K cameras here on Amazon. It would just be better if you bought a used iPhone or Samsung then to waste your money on these awful quality cameras. ... show more
