I have an old british car that has a very slow and outdated head unit. Installing a new one would be a nightmare because from what I recall they had to rep out the entire console down to the firewall to access the screws to remove the head unit, so I needed a replacement unit that I could just mount on the dash but have it hanging below the dash where the original screen is.. This one worked perfectly. As for the unit itself, it works great. Very responsive and full featured. I won't say it was the easiest to get set up as I had some complications getting it paired with my smartphone (kept having to retry). Maybe my blue tooth connection was not the stronges, I don't know. Anyway I finally got it going and am super thrilled finally having a more modern setup in my old car. My wife's car is a Tsla and sad to say it but I actually find this unit better than what the Tesla provides for music and map functiuonality. Ps. I have not yet installed the cameras because the car already has an aftermarket 360-degree camera installed. So I can't really say how well it works with the cameras. ... show more

First thing I came across, in the instruction booklet there was not a clear inventory of parts that came with the product. Next the images that were used for the installation were extremely poor quality. The directions are not clear and make assumptions of your familiarity of working with such a product. I got this for my wife's car and it has been a disaster in the making. Besides waiting a long time to get it, then trying to put it in, even in the Arizona morning makes for a trying situation. If the instructions were clear and easy to follow, then it would not have been such an irritating situation. Wires and fuse box? I do not want to run wires all over my wife's care making it look like a bad remake of Frankenstein's monster. The how to install videos are crap. The wires don't look the same, they make it look like the wires are easy to hide by simply tucking them away. No, just no. Honestly, if they mentioned that they would have to connect this to my fuse box I would have never even considered it. I replace fuses in my vehicles, I am not going to toy with them. It is not my profession to manipulate the fuse box on a vehicle. Then there is the rear camera. You have to drill out holes to mount it, the heck with you vehicle warranties. Then it wants you to connect a wire to your tail light and run another wire the entire length of your vehicle. but you have to drill a hole into your vehicle to run the wire from the outside to the inside of your vehicle so that you can run that wire. Oh year, then there is the trying to covertly attaching the wire to your tail light which means more wire crossing into an area not designed for it and will probable require more drilling. Then if you have a hatch back, so much the better, because your wire has navigate the door frame, cross over to the body, be able to do so with enough slack that you can open and close the hatch without it getting pinched yet not protruding to the point it can get snagged as you go about your daily chores. Then if you get the front camera as well, you will have wires going several different directions. I do not know, maybe a professional car person can make sense of this mess, but I spent hours going over the instruction manual then watching their videos and finally after 3 hours of fussing with it, all I have to show for it is a mount I can not seem to remove from my wife's dash and a table full of junk. I would not recommend this to anyone. The instruction booklet alone put me in a bad mood then the experience has put me so far in the temper stage, I can decide to trash it or try again with a different vehicle that appearance doesn't mean as much. ... show more

This was ordered for my teenage son's car, as it stated it could be plugged into a cigarette lighter. However, after receiving this, it needs an adapter that this company does not yet make (It states this in the instructions that come with it.) So, the only way to hook this up is through wiring which we cannot do and cannot afford to pay someone to do ar this moment. If you know how to take your car apart to wire this up, then you might find it to be a better product. For us, though, it's a big disappointment sitting in a box. ... show more
