  • Doesn't stream prime video
Bought brand new but Prime Video won't work. Called customer support, no help. They blame the google TV. This Is a bad product and should not be sold by prime if its own service doest function.

  • It's nice
This TV is nice if you want a Google TV. I feel like the Google TV interface is the only reason you would get this TV because you could get a different type of TV at a better price with better features and better resolution. I personally am only using this with a Roku and don't care so much about the fact that it is only 1080p. ... show more

  • Absolutely fabulous television
This television is so good. It’s probably the best TV that I’ve ever had, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m not really an expert tech person, so I can’t speak too much to the tech part of this. However, I love everything about the TV. Now, if you don’t have a cable hook up, then you will need to have an Internet connection to make the apps on this work. You also need to be able to sign into a Google account since this is a Google TV. It’s really so awesome though to have everything in one and not need to have an additional device to help add the apps onto the TV. On my other televisions, I have Roku devices - I enjoy that this television doesn’t need something like this. Five stars and beyond – if I could rate it much higher I would. Oh, and it was so easy to set this up. Everything was very intuitive, and it even connected to my sound bar without prompting. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it, but in my case, it was wonderful because I didn’t even have to look for the sound bar; the television just found it. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • It's good. It's basically a 43" Android Tablet.
This TV is a rebranded KTC 43GF. I got this mainly for casual gaming, so I don't care much about the Google software that runs the TV (although I use Chromecasts/Android on some of my other TVs). For reasons that should be obvious, I don't plan on connecting this TV to my home network. The thing is, this TV is completely controlled by Android/Google TV (Android 11). In other words, the built-in Google stuff isn't simply an add on—there's literally no other interface. Everything, including the picture adjustments, is controlled through the Android interface which is why I say it works like an Android tablet. Fortunately, you can just switch the input to HDMI and ignore most of the Google stuff. The picture looks good, with good color and not much backlight bleed. The resolution is 1080p, which is fine for the console gaming I do. The refresh rate is 60 Hz, so nothing fancy. You can set the TV to game mode, which is the layman's term for "turn off all image processing for best performance." I connected my Nintendo Switch, and it worked fine with no obvious input lag. According to the specs on KTC's website, this TV uses a DLED backlight. Grays are fairly even with only minor irregularities around the edges of the screen. This isn't noticeable unless staring at a static gray pattern. The backlight is bright, too. The specs say the contrast ratio is 3000:1. I didn't see any dead pixels. Connectivity-wise, you get two HDMI input ports, one of which supports eARC for connecting to a sound bar. It also has composite video in, but it uses that weird 3.5mm video connector you often find on old camcorders that carries video and stereo audio together. It also has a Toslink port for audio output, an "EARPHONE" port (3.5mm stereo audio out), and an Ethernet port. You've got some USB ports as well. Since the TV runs Android, you should be able to play media files from USB using VLC or some other video player app. And yes, you can put the TV into Developer mode and should be able to sideload apps like you can with any other Android device. The sound is what you'd expect from a TV in this price range: it's tolerable, not great, so you'll want to connect a soundbar to that eARC port. Even an inexpensive one will be an improvement. A remote and batteries were included. The remote is actually a Bluetooth device (just like with other Android TV devices), and requires pairing when the TV first starts up. My main gripe is since the TV runs Android exclusively, you have limited ability to adjust the picture. There is a picture mode called "Personal" where you can adjust things like brightness, contrast and sharpness. Fortunately, these settings are applied even when you switch back to game mode although it's not clear if game mode is actually reducing the latency like you'd expect. I should also mention the TV crashed and rebooted on me once during testing. It hasn't happened since. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. The picture is good, and it works perfectly well for my gaming purposes. ... show more

  • Just OK TV
This TV is just ok. It's a long process to get the google tv side of things working - they provide a QR code so it's easier but that does not work - you have to manually do the entire process which takes about 30-45min. Once it's up though it is nice, and they do provide you with batteries for the remote which is a plus. However, the remote seems to constantly disconnect and you have to re-pair the remote. Also the loading times from turning the TV on to when you can actually start watching something is very slow. So overall this TV is just okay - It really needs to be faster with regards to setup and loading times. The TV itself is pretty sturdy and the stand was easy to install. ... show more
