Features

  • What You'll Get: 50 pieces of 40mm peat pellets and 100 pieces of blank plant labels are included per package, which is a great combination for your seeds starting and growing. Labels can help you distinguish different types of plants. Please be aware that this set does not include any seeds or plants.
  • Natural Material: Seeds starting pellets are made of peat, which has strong air permeability and water retention, and is rich in nutrients, helping plant roots grow. And the outer non-woven material can be completely degraded. Small and compact, it swells with water for easy and clean storage.
  • Easy to Use: Begin by placing the pellets in a container, preferably with warm water for swelling. Then, position the seeds in the center and await germination. As the plant progresses, cut the outer non-woven mesh and transplant it into a larger pot, facilitating robust root expansion.
  • Multiple Applications: Peat soil particles make cultivating seedlings easy with a high success rate. They are well-suited for indoor or outdoor cultivation of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, succulents, herbs, flowers, and garden plants. Joining your family in this activity adds to the enjoyment.
  • Ideal Gardening Gift: Each non-woven compressed nursery nutrition block is 1.2'' in diameter, expanding 4-5 times after watering to provide ample moisture for seed growth. This makes it an excellent gardening gift for family and friends who appreciate the joys of gardening.

Description

TIPS: We want to make sure you have all the information you need. Please be aware that this set does not include any seeds or plants. SPECIFICATION Quantity: - 50 × peat pellets - 100 × blank labels Size: - 40mm INSTRUCTION - Step 1: Put some peat pellets into the container. - Step 2: Pour water into the container or sprinkle water on top of the peat pellets to expand them. - Step 3: After waiting for no water in the soil, place the plants or vegetable shoots in the peat pellets. FEATURES Composed organic soil made of natural coconut fiber and peat is an ideal fertilizer for growing shoots. The loose soil provides a good environment for the humidity and air permeability needed for plant growth. The non-woven fabric that wraps the nutrient block of fertilizer is spread over the air-permeable grid, which is also conducive to the penetration of shoot roots. After the shoots grow out, they can be transplanted into the soil without separating the non-woven fabric.

Peat pellets, not much to say

  • I should have read the reviews
Size: 50mm 50pcs
I've already wasted 10 seeds. I'm not growing microgreens. I'm growing "gethigh" greens. So, that's time and money down the drain. These definitely cost more in the long run than I thought I was saving. Problems? Too compacted and casing is too thick means it doesn't drain well at all. I expect rooting and first true leaves within the first week after germination. First round: 6 seeds. One week later, I saw the tiniest true leaves as the cotyledons started browning and showing signs of burning. The tiny true leaves were maybe 1/4 the size of the cotyledons. I decided to cut open the peat pellet.. the tap root had grown a bit longer but no branching out. I have grow diaries showing rooting to the point I could lift the entire peat pellet by the seedling within 4 days. What's going on? Maybe I did something wrong. Second round: Day 1 after germination, seedling sprouted from the peat pellet with shell attached. Seen that before, plenty of water and went to "surgery". No problem, free to open now. Today is day 2. Seedling got more green but isn't even opening. The cotyledons are still closed, looks like little shop of horrors the way it's still curved around and closed. They should have opened up by now. Showing mottling down the little stem and head. I decided to give it a light feeding of Superthrive solution, just to see what happens (and came to look at the reviews). I'll come back to finish this review at the end of the week. Ultimately, I'll probably go back to using jiffy. I'm not sure what to do with the other peat pellets. Are they contaminated or just extremely poorly constructed? I'll try to do some pH+TDS checks. If the levels are good, I'll hydrate them all, rip them open, use the casing as bedding, and mix with perlite to plant some herbs. But, I need a complete and contained peat pellet to go in my "gethigh" system. ... show more

  • Not Jiffy Pellets
Size: 50mm 50pcs
The description compared the pellets to the Jiffy pellets of the same size. They did not expand as big as Jiffy pellets and the dirt was coming out of the flimsy cloth they were enclosed in. The holes were not cut out of the cloth at the top either. There was an outline for the holes that you have to tear yourself. ... show more

  • I believe its too compressed
Size: 30mm 200pcs
My successful germination rate out of 48 pellets started on 4 different dates total total 192 pellets used over 8 weeks is less than 5% I have been using the same seed company for 12 years now. When I planted the first 48 in a tray and then the second set 2 weeks later I noticed that not one seed had germinated from the first set and still had not when I planted the third set another 2 weeks later. I got brand new seeds this year. The photos is of my last set of 48 seeds and not one germination. these were started 30 days ago. Feb 3rd, 18th, March 10th March 24th were my planting dates I got maybe 2 or 3 plants from each set of plantings. I know my seeds are good since I have sprouts in my garden. I'm zone 9b. ... show more
