I like how the unit is compact. It use it in my small dressing closet. However, you need to be careful coming off of the top step. The first step is halfway beneath the top step and I've slipped off of it once. Now I make sure that I don't miss it.

The ladder is great, but I got one that is about half an inch shorter on one side. I would’ve returned it, but I needed it quickly and I just put some padding on the shorter leg to keep it balanced
