They work fine on a table lantern that has a off and on switch but when I put them on a ceiling light with a wall switch, they turn on and turn off but after thirty seconds or so they turn right back on again and stay on. Weird. Too bad I wanted to replace all my ceiling lights with them so when the power goes out my ceiling lights would work. Moreover these are big bulbs so table lanterns with small shades the bulbs will stick out the top. ... show more

My husband and I used these light bulbs during the aftermath of the hurricane we had this summer in Texas. Thankfully, we got them charged before our power went out. A bulb is only good for a couple of hours, so since there was just the two of us, we used them one at a time in only one lamp in our bedroom, where we holed up with a couple of battery-powered fans during the 5 days of no electricity in 90-degree heat. We are planning to recharge the bulbs once a month so we will be ready for the next loss of power. So it you put these bulbs in a table lamp the lighrt will only shine towards the ceiling. I guess they are made for a ceiling fixture that shines down.

These light bulbs have been super handy. Where im from theres always power outages and these light bulbs have saved us so much. The color is great it does give a lot of light. The past one i bought lasted like 2 years i hope these new one last the same or more.
